About the adventure

Venture into the land of Greenwold, a realm shaped by forgotten magic, hidden histories, and the legendary Keys of Wonder. These ancient artifacts are said to unlock sealed places, awaken dormant powers, and alter the fate of those who wield them. As their influence begins to surface, so do the forces that seek to control or destroy them. Keys of Wonder is a Dungeons and Dragons 5e campaign focused on exploration, mystery, and meaningful player choice. Characters begin at level 1 and grow into legends through discovery, hard decisions, and the consequences of their actions. The world reacts to what you do, not just where you go. Players can expect a balanced mix of roleplay, combat, and problem solving, with a strong emphasis on character driven stories. Ancient ruins, strange magic, and uncertain alliances await those willing to chase wonder and face its cost. This campaign is welcoming to new and experienced players alike and prioritizes collaborative storytelling, clear expectations, and a respectful table.

About me

I've been playing for about 7 years now and wanted to take a turn on the GM side of things. What makes me different than all of the other GM's you ask? Not much really. I am a human. I have played RPG video games as far back as I can remember.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will have a session 0 where we can build out characters. I would prefer you to use Roll20 for character creation. In Roll20, I have access to the 2014 Player's Handbook, Mordenkainen Presents Monsters of the Multiverse, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and Tasha's Cauldron of everything. I also allow character play on D&D beyond with the beyond 20 extension as long as you share the character sheet with me.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a mic. While not mandatory, I recommend a camera for added roleplay interaction. You will need to access to audio over discord. You will also need to have a roll 20 account.

What Nerdy Gerdy brings to the table

Roll20, Discord, Scabard I am a big believer of the Rule of Cool. If you solve a problem that is way cooler for your character, we will try to go with that! I try to have character voices (keyword there is try). We will use Roll 20 as a VTT and Discord for audio and optional video.

Homebrew rules

Drinking a potion is a bonus action. Feeding somebody a potion is an action. If a creature is flanked by two or more enemies on opposite sides, all melee attacks made against that creature have advantage until it is no longer flanked.
