About the adventure
"Kansas City. It's hard to remember the last sunrise over the 'heart of America'. Even though yours beats no more, the city lives on and hey, maybe so can you. The memories remain. The people although at a distance, they're still here. All of these things are worth holding on to. Oh and politics of course, a favorite national pastime. This was a Sabbat territory not too long ago - cults, chaos, survival of the fittest without any pretense. All that until the Camarilla and Anarchs united to take over the place. Hard to believe the two working together; but this strange friendship while fruitful for a while, did not last long. Prince Harper took praxis of KC and has been balancing the city on a razor's edge since. So here you are - thrust into a new world. A young and hopeful kindred amidst uncertainty, rising tensions and growing fears. My advice? Keep a finger on the pulse." This is a story of gothic horror, intrigue and corruption. Players will take on the role of neonates - young vampires coming from either of the three big sects, in turn becoming a part of an unorthodox coterie. Expect immersive roleplay, intrigue and mystery and a focus on characters exploration. Newcomers to VTM or RPG's as well as seasoned players are all welcome. We will use lines and veils, content checklist and X-cards to ensure everyone's comfort. Session 0 is free, during which we will go over the characters, coterie and themes.

About me
Hello friend. My name is Edgar I'm a storyteller, writer and artist with just about ten years of GM experience. It all began when I was a wee lad and got invited to game of, would you believe it, Dungeons and Dragons. I fell in love with tabletop roleplay right then and there, seeing it as collaborative art and storytelling. At my table we are inclusive, welcoming and attentive. I've run many systems in my time and played around with a bunch of themes. If I had to pick favorites, I'd go with mystery and horror, so even if we're doing wacky hijinks in Faerûn, I am liable to throw in a puzzle or a scare. While the rules of the system are an important framework, I believe that the 'rule of cool' is a universally excellent rule. As a GM my loyalty is to the story that we are all creating together, with all the curveballs and out-of-the-box chicanery players are oft to do.

Creating your character
We will create characters together during the free session 0, using rules for Neonate character creation. All the official VtM 5e books are free to reference and pull from.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account for voice chat and a Roll20 account as that is where the game will be hosted.
What Edgar brings to the table
Expect a cinematic narration style with ambient music used for atmosphere. I use distinct voices for characters. The game is largely theater of the mind with the exception of custom notes, maps, characters and general visual aid where needed. Combat, typical of VtM 5e will be dramatic, intense but rules light. The goal is to create a collaborative story, immerse you and your characters and make your choices have impact.
