Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation can be made quite simple! Since all players will start with a level 1 character I have a full arsenal of premade characters ready for action! However, I understand if you wish to add your own personal touch. As such, utilizing Pathbuilder is strongly recommended prior to the session. There are some feature locked behind the full version so if you find yourself needing access, let me know! We can hop onto a call and I can help build the character with you. As of now, backstories will not be required. Since Menace Under Otari is actually the prequel to a couple Adventure Paths we can roll these character directly into the next one upon completion, then provide a bit more backstory.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

1. Ensure you have Discord downloaded & setup an account. 2. Test your speakers and microphone - Bad mic quality causes disruption and typing everything out delays the group. Out of respect for everyone's time & efforts this is a MUST. 3. This game will run on FoundryVTT, which I have a personal server for. So all you'll need is access to internet and the URL & password I provide you!

What Jared brings to the table

Ambient music & combat music will most certainly be utilized to enhance your overall experience with Pathfinder 2e! I'm currently training as a voice actor (1yr now) and will provide voices for main NPCs along with some animal/critter noises from time to time. As important as rules are there remains high importance in your overall enjoyment. In most cases I can be reasoned with and be willing to bend certain rules to accomplish what your imagination concocts! For rules lawyers, I don't break the rules unless its homebrew :)

Homebrew rules

Sheathing/unsheathing weapons/shields at the beginning of combat is a free action.

Safety

How Jared creates a safe table

Strong preferrence on utilizing X, N, & O cards. Since not everyone has the capability of doing video I ask everyone to do this in a personal chat to me directly - This helps protect the individual who is uncomfortable with a topic or situation. Even as a GM I've personally had to use these when certain players began crossing lines. As odd as it may seem from time to time, boundaries are incredibly important even in the fantasy realm.
