About the adventure
Now we can always have a silly time in any old rpg, bandying about some distant cousin of a Tolkien landscape, but what if your silly band of scamps had to march through the glue bogs and foreboding forests of the Mythic Bastionlands? That's real comedy! Great for people who want to get into an award winning RPG without all that gloomy business! Why are all the good RPGs so sad? why does no one not know how to have fun any more? anyways. This will still be a deadly and dangerous game but it will be often played for laughs as your knight will be quickly replaced by another ridiculous character. Remember! Even in the Monty Python movie, most of the knights of the round table died... and the rest got arrested!

About me
Hey! I'm Nishaant! I've been playing Roleplaying games for my whole life and properly Game mastering for 12+ years! I'm a game designer, writer but I am best known as a storyteller and there's nothing I love more than weaving a wonderful tale for my friends at the table! I've played quite the swathe of different systems and games and I'm always looking for new and interesting games to pick up, anything with a strong system/storytelling core I can get down with.

Creating your character
We will be doing character creation during session 0, it's a pretty quick process because of how the game handles character creation. There might be a couple knights that will be unavailable to play because they might be a little tooo dour for the setting but honestly if you make your case I'll let you play them.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I am prepared to teach the game to players who have never played Mythic Bastionland so I'll handle most of the prep. (I even have the official character sheets in both printer friendly and digital!) If you haven't seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail... That's fine! Just know that there's gonna be a lot of immature humor and ridiculous voices. If you have the time I'd say go ahead and watch it, it'll give you a good reference for the mood and style. I host my sessions on a Discord Server so you will need an account + internet and at least a microphone. (a webcam is preferred but not mandatory)
What Nishaant brings to the table
Spamalot Knights is my own unique campaign using the Mythic Bastionland system, so you won't find anything else like it! So you get the joy of having a campaign that isn't set it stone and you can't read spoilers for, it's going to be hot and fresh just for you and your fellow scoundrels! Even when I run this scenario again it will be different! You can even come back around and play an older version of your character... if they survived of course. I love running games in the theater of the mind, and embrace the rule of cool openly because I think it's best when it comes to immersion, the less windows and interfaces you have to deal with the better! I try to keep things as fluid as possible so I lean away from Rules as Written but not in major ways when it comes to this system, but if you find yourself feeling unfairly slighted by a rules interpretations I'll hear you out. I also like to make requests of players, getting them more involved with the story by having them name locations or NPCs, prompting them to establish history by asking for character memories in flashbacks, asking them for their plans instead of guiding them along to my predetermined plot. So if you want your RPG to feel like a wide open world that still feels personal and personable, I'm your guy!

Safety
How Nishaant creates a safe table
I take safety pretty seriously, I create and fill out a Lines and Veils document and send the link out to the players during the Session 0, which covers how to play, setting, safety, and some character creation. I usually have the X cards done in message but I think it might be better if the players can hold up the cards. Also before every session I make sure to tell players if there might be some upsetting content coming up and ask if they're comfortable with that. Post session I always run a debrief with players to help with bleed and to go over any concerns that came up during the session.
