About the adventure
Prohibition era Chicago is a wild time in a dangerous city. The roaring 20s and its decadence are giving rise to organized crime, driven by Camarilla interests, while Anarch gangs strive for their own piece of the action. Your coterie is in the latter category, running a speakeasy for both vampires and humans. The Camarilla wants a cut, the human authorities might be on to you, but you're Anarchs and nobody is going to push you around on your own turf, not for long. This is your time, your city, and your mark to make. -Operate an Anarch speakeasy in Chicago -Navigate threats both Kindred and kine -Rise in influence and become a part of history

About me
My name is Chris and I've been running games consistently for the past ten years, with periodic games for the fifteen years prior. My preferred systems are World of Darkness and Call of Cthulhu, and I currently run games of both Vampire: The Masquerade and Call of Cthulhu for friends. I also have a few years experience with Mage: The Awakening, 2nd Edition. My games have run from one-shots to multi-year campaigns. While I have run modules, such as Masks of Nyarlathotep or Horror on the Orient Express, my games are primarily written by myself. I much prefer theater of the mind to miniatures and tactical games.

Creating your character
Characters will be made in session 0, where we will establish roles, safety tools, and expectations. I restrict Malkavian PCs as a personal limit. It is too easy for them to become a caricature of mental health problems. Characters should be made per the core rulebook, player's handbook, and Chicago By Night. This is set in the 1920s, so any technological aspects of character should be time period appropriate. The coterie is of the Anarch faction and 13th Generation.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Discord and a free Forge account are required. Please have a webcam and mic available for ideal engagement.
What Chris brings to the table
I'm a theater of the mind Storyteller, but I like to use assets in Foundry for background flavor and dice. I enjoy providing a spread of npcs with a variety of personalities and further developing those with whom the group engages. I'm very much a player driven storyteller and enjoy exploring character. I play largely by the book, but if something is going to bog us down or get in the way of the story we're telling, we'll work around it. We're in this to have a great time.

How Chris creates a safe table
On Discord we will keep a living document that can be updated with limits and areas of care for our game. Players need not justify why something is off-limits. We're here to have fun, not push buttons. Horror doesn't mean we have to cross boundaries. During play we use the X card mechanic for pausing or stopping play to address problems.
