About the adventure
Step into the world of Pathfinder Second Edition with the Beginner Box—a friendly, guided “learn-as-you-play” adventure built for brand-new players. You’ll start in the cozy seaside town of Otari, where strange trouble is brewing beneath a local fishery. As you investigate, you’ll descend into mysterious tunnels filled with clever hazards, curious creatures, and classic fantasy surprises—perfect for your first taste of tabletop adventure. This game is for anyone who’s ever wanted to try a fantasy RPG but didn’t know where to start. I’ll teach the rules as we go, keep the pace welcoming, and make sure everyone has a chance to shine—whether you love talking in character, solving problems, or rolling dice and cheering when the plan works. No experience needed; just bring your imagination. Expect a mix of roleplay, exploration, and tactical combat in a supportive environment. Pathfinder 2e is known for exciting teamwork and meaningful choices, and the Beginner Box introduces those concepts in bite-sized, easy-to-learn steps. You can choose a ready-to-play hero or get help customizing your character, and by the end you’ll feel confident jumping into bigger adventures.

About me
Hello! My name is Eduard, but most people call me Eddie. I'm 31 years old. I’ve been playing TTRPGs for about 8 years (DnD 2e, DnD 5e, and mostly Pathfinder 2e), and I’ve been GM-ing Pathfinder 2e for the past 2.5 years. I enjoy leaning into the tactical depth of PF2e: tight encounter design, meaningful positioning, and rules that reward smart choices. I’m very comfortable with the system, and I like helping players get the most out of their builds without slowing the game down. Professionally, I’ve been a software developer for 8 years, and I’m now pivoting into becoming a full-time professional GM. I bring that technical mindset into Foundry VTT with robust automation, clean character and monster setups, and clear visualizations of effects, auras, and conditions. My goal is to let the rules shine—crunchy, fair, and consistent—while still leaving plenty of room for strong character moments and story development. I’m all about collaborative storytelling, weaving player backstories into the world, and creating memorable character moments that stick with you long after the session ends—whether that’s a tense moral dilemma, a hard-earned victory, or a quiet scene around the campfire. If you’re looking for a GM who loves both system mastery and character-driven stories, I’d be happy to welcome you to my table.

Creating your character
We’ll make characters together in a Session 0 (a relaxed “getting started” session before the adventure begins). In Session 0 we’ll: pick a character concept, build your sheet step-by-step, go over the most important rules, and make sure everyone’s character fits the party. If you’d rather build ahead of time, that’s totally fine too—I can help you review it before we start. There will be no variant rules enabled for this game. Character builder: I strongly prefer Pathbuilder (pathbuilder.com) because it makes building a Pathfinder 2e character much easier, especially for new players. If you’re not sure what to pick, I can recommend simple, fun options and explain what your choices mean. Starting level: Everyone starts at Level 1 (perfect for learning the game). Stats (ability scores): We’ll use the standard Pathfinder 2e method: ability boosts during character creation (no rolling required). This keeps things fair, balanced, and beginner-friendly. Books/allowed options: To keep things simple and consistent, please stick to Beginner Box character options and/or the Pathfinder 2e Core Rulebook options (all of which Pathbuilder can handle). If you want to use something from another book, just tell me—happy to help, but we’ll keep the first game easy to learn.

What Eduard brings to the table
I’ll provide a super beginner-friendly Pathfinder 2e experience using the Beginner Box adventure. You’ll get clear explanations as we play, reminders of your options on your turn, and a table vibe where it’s totally okay to ask questions (or forget rules!). I’ll also bring the adventure materials needed to run the game—maps/battle layouts, creature info, and any handouts or notes that help keep things easy to follow. Visuals & gameplay tools (Foundry VTT): We’ll be using FoundryVTT for visual representation—maps, tokens, measuring movement, and seeing where everything is in combat. It’s great for beginners because you can see the scene and your options clearly. I’ll help you learn the interface as we go, and you don’t need any prior Foundry experience to play. Tone & roleplay: Expect a fun, classic fantasy vibe with room for humor and hero moments. I do some light character voices and NPC personalities, but you never have to “do a voice” to roleplay—describing what your character says is always enough. Music & atmosphere: I may use soft ambient music for mood (town, dungeon, tense moments), but it’ll stay in the background and can be turned down/off if anyone prefers. Combat style: Combat will be tactical but guided. Pathfinder 2e shines when the party works together, so I’ll help you learn teamwork basics (like flanking, using skills, and supporting each other) without it feeling overwhelming. We’ll keep turns moving and I’ll help you find good choices quickly. Rules approach: I aim for Rules as Written as the default (so you learn the system the “real” way), but I’m not strict to the point of slowing the game down. If we don’t know a rule in the moment, I’ll make a quick fair call, keep the story going, and we’ll double-check after. Table expectations: This is a welcoming, respectful table. Beginners are encouraged, mistakes are normal, and the goal is for everyone to feel comfortable, included, and excited to play again.

How Eduard creates a safe table
Tools at the Table We’ll use a mix of written and “real-time” tools: Lines & Veils (pre-game): You’ll be able to mark topics as: Line: never appears. Veil: can exist, but is glossed over or off-screen. X / N / O system (in play): Since we’re online, these will be digital, not physical cards: X: “Stop. I’m not okay with this.” You can type X in chat or DM me. I will immediately pause, rewind a bit, and redirect the scene—no questions, no pressure to explain. N: “Not now / let’s ease off this.” You can type N or something like “Let’s move on from this topic.” I’ll soften or pivot the scene. O: “I’m good to continue, even if I seem upset.” You can type O if we’re in intense territory but you’re enjoying it and want to push on. You are always free to step away from the table briefly. Just say “BRB” or DM me, and we’ll work around it.
