About the adventure

Guilt of the Graveworld is an Adventure Path bringing interstellar heroes from level 1 to 5. You'll pull off daring heists, pilot a speedy spaceship, and foil the machinations of an army of darkness. From deep within the asteroid belt known as Diaspora, a mysterious signal has suddenly surged into being. The dwarven mining conglomerate, Ulrikka Clanholdings, has contracted a small team of relatively skilled and exceptionally expendable troubleshooters to investigate swiftly and discretely. This sort of thing usually turns out to be benign - a forgotten reactor roaring to life after a few decades without power, a humanoid-eating space alien marking its territory, maybe a stray burst of weapon fire finally ending its million-mile journey by impacting a crystalline entity. But this time, things are going to be different. This time, the anomaly is *very* noteworthy, and Ulrikka Clanholdings isn't the only organization to have noticed it. And if their troubleshooters don't get to it first, the Pact Worlds may be in grave danger.

About me

I've wanted to explore other worlds for as long as I've been able to speak and read. When a family friend placed a D&D manual in my tiny hands, they doomed me to a life spent in those other worlds. I don't regret a single moment spent there. I've been playing TTRPGs regularly for over twenty years now (more than half of them as an adult!), and have never gotten tired of it. Whether it's inhabiting the role of a character unlike myself or facilitating a world for other characters to trailblaze, I just can't get enough of this form of storytelling. One of my favorite parts of this hobby is watching how different people react to the circumstances of these worlds. That's why I love GMing so much - I can't wait to be surprised!

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters begin at level 1. Each player will create a character independently, but will be able to discuss their plans with the other players in our Discord server. Further information will be provided about organizations and concepts that fit this AP particularly well! There is a mixture of combat and non-combat challenges in Guilt of the Graveworld, so a balanced party will try to cover all its bases. If you've never played Starfinder 2e and don't know how to make a character, fret not - I will have pregenerated characters available that you may use for as long as you wish. I will also assist you in making your own character, and teach you the basis of Starfinder!

The current party

The other players have elected for a Dwarf-themed party, so try to be at least Dwarf-adjacent!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Every player will require a microphone. We'll be communicating via Discord for this campaign. We will play via FoundryVTT, which can be accessed via your web browser at no additional cost to you. If you have never used Foundry before, I will be happy to show you the ropes! Please seek out an image to represent your character - you can draw it yourself, find something online, commission an artist, etc. We'll use this image to represent you in the VTT, so be sure to pick something you'll be happy looking at for a long time! If you can't find anything, you can let me know and I will be happy to help the search.

What Simon Magnus brings to the table

I will provide FoundryVTT and all elements surrounding its use. I will be available outside of session hours to help with character creation. I will provide access to our Discord server. This will be home to our voice channel, as well as a text channel for use in our game.

Safety

How Simon Magnus creates a safe table

My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming table for people of all identities. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns about content. I am happy to keep our conversations anonymous. This table does not tolerate hate speech or harassment towards other players. This campaign will feature a session 0 to set our expectations, as well as post-mortems after each session where you'll be able to voice any concerns, ideas, or other thoughts to the rest of the party. I aim to provide a fair, consistent game based on the Starfinder 2e ruleset. You can expect some spooky (and some wacky) menaces out in Diaspora. My hope is that you'll never feel like I pushed the scales in either direction - the outcome of your adventures will depend on your own tactics, thinking, and the luck of the dice.
