About the adventure

Eat The Reich is a rules-lite, gore-heavy pulp action romp packed with vampire occult-magic, retro-futurist weird science, and LOTS of dead nazis. I have run this game online and at conventions for first-timers, so there is no need to learn the system or to have played it before joining. Just show up ready to be a vampire and kill some nazis! You can watch me running the game here: https://youtu.be/8btLlfD7PHM?si=Qmy4wS9f768Xeagx

About me

Hi there! My name is Sean (He/Him), you can find me on TikTok @imaginationarcade and on BlueSky @imaginationarcade.itch.io. Is there a TTRPG that interests you, but you're hesitant to play without someone who knows the rules to guide you through it? Let me teach you how to play! I'll provide the game, a VTT to play it on, and all the know-how you need to learn the system in a safe and inclusive environment. You can see clips of some games that I've run at youtube.com/@imagination_arcade Let's play a game together!

Character creation

Creating your character

Players will choose one of six pre-made characters, each embodying a unique flavor of vampire trope with their own play-styles and specialties. The characters are high-concept, but still open-ended enough for each player to make their own decisions about how they want to interpret what their version of the character looks like.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will use the Alchemy VTT to manage character sheets and objective trackers. You should not need to do anything in advance, but you can create an account at alchemyrpg.com if you would like to explore the tools ahead of time. We will use Discord for voice (video optional), so make sure you have an account created there as well. If you'd like an advanced look at the playable characters, you can download the PDFs for pay what you want from the publisher's website: https://rowanrookanddecard.com/product/eat-the-reich-character-sheets-and-map-print/

What Sean brings to the table

As mentioned above, we will use Alchemy VTT to manage the game elements. I backed ETR on Kickstarter when it was in development, so I have access to the Alchemy module they designed that comes with all of the art, animation, and fun bells and whistles to enhance the online experience.

Safety

How Sean creates a safe table

Eat The Reich features an "Evil Calibration Checklist", essentially a more granular version of Lines & Veils, which we will review at the start of the game. During play, we will use verbal safety signals if the game needs to be paused or stopped at any point for safety reasons. Lastly, all of my games have an open door policy; anyone who needs to excuse themselves at any time for any reason may do so, no questions asked. The comfort and safety of everyone at the table is my top priority at all times. It should also be made clear that while the villains in this game are Nazis, and while everyone understands the kinds of evil ideologies that Nazis hold, I will at no point overtly verbalize those ideologies during the game. I don't believe it is necessary for me to say blatantly racist or bigoted things that will make players uncomfortable, in order for everyone to understand that the villains are racist bigots.
