About the adventure

TIME AFTER TIME is a mind-bending time travel adventure for Mothership. Survive strange chronologic horrors, solve paradoxical mysteries, and save the station from its own recursive fate—and do it all without accidentally fragging yourself out of both space and time. This campaign is perfect for fans of time travel stories like Dark or Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.

About me

I've been obsessed with RPGs since I was in middle school and my friend handed me the D&D 4e handbook. I've been playing RPGs off and on through various one-shots and mini-campaigns since high school. Those early years my DMing career consisted mostly of my brother and I messing around in one-on-one sessions. Things really started kicking off for me in college, where I ran and played in multiple campaigns. I ran Star Wars FFG, Legend of the Five Rings FFG and The Expanse campaigns throughout my college years. It was also around this time that I started learning and performing Improv, which hugely impacted how I ran and played the game, as well as shaped me as a storyteller. Nowadays, it's been harder for me to run games as much as I want to with work and distance, but that hasn't stopped me from engaging with the hobby or running one-shots here and there. I generally enjoy a lot of narrative and roleplay, with a healthy dose of combat, and lately my goals for DMing include improving my combat encounters. Join my games if you want something other than D&D5e! My favorite systems right now include: Mothership, Root, Star Wars FFG, Hometown Holiday and Draw Steel!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation in Mothership is simple and to the point. We will spend the first hour of our first session filling out the character sheets, but more importantly, we will spend this time collaboratively fleshing out our characters together and discussing their relationships and potential narrative arcs.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The only thing players will need is a discord account and to send me a friend request (PentaPo#5614). Additionally, you may also download the Mothership companion app.

What PentaPo brings to the table

I play Mothership in a theater of the mind approach. There will be no grids or strict combat rules. I heavily lean into "the rule of cool" but in Mothership terms, this is now "the rule of spooks". Creating tension, spooky vibes, and good drama is my aim here.

Safety

How PentaPo creates a safe table

Part of character creation together will be spent discussing lines and veils. We will also be using the X card throughout play.
