About the adventure

Centuries ago, when the World of Numia was young, there existed Therûmaur - a single continent where the ancient myths and legends of Numia were real. Here it was where mighty heroes battled gods and titans using magical artefacts of immense power. Now, it appears, clues to the location of these artefacts have been deciphered by the Archmage Historians of Kart. You have answered the summons to seek out these artefacts and return them to Kart for further arcane study. Pack your belongings and bid farewell to your loved ones, as you embark on a globe-spanning treasure-hunt filled with danger and mystery! This is a multi-session Daggerheart campaign set within the homebrewed world of Numia, where your choices will help shape the story being told at the table! In this bespoke Daggerheart campaign, you’ll play heroic treasure hunters seeking fortune and glory whilst exploring undiscovered lands and facing unimaginable dangers! Do you have what it takes to claim the relics and deliver them to the Arcane Libraries and Museums of the arcane megalopolis of Kart?! Pete Kijek, your GM for this game, has been running Daggerheart since the Open Beta Playtest in 2024, and, since game release in May, has run many games throughout the UK both online and in-person, including a Sold Out weekend of 5 games at the recent UK Games Expo 2025 with full collaborative support and association with Darrington Press, the game's publisher. An actor since the age of 5, with a major role as part of an ensemble cast in the British no-budget sci-fi film "Offworld: Alien Planet" (currently available to watch for free on Amazon Prime) under his belt, and a 30+ year involvement within the Roleplaying and Tabletop Wargaming space, with Pete you are guaranteed an immersive, collaborative fantasy story-telling and roleplaying game experience filled with rich characters, descriptive scenes and environments, and intense fun for all involved.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will hold an initial, free Session 0 in which we shall explore and discuss the themes and content of the game, and create characters collaboratively building connections and relationships between the different player-characters. Whether you have played before, or are brand new, Pete will walk you through the character creation process, ensuring you understand the way the mechanics of the game support your narrative choices. All you need is a free Demiplane account to create your digital sheet. Pete will share his Daggerheart content with you for full character creation options.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Virtual Tabletop will be hosted on Roll20 - a free account is all you need. A link to the VTT will be provided upon acceptance to the Session 0. Character Sheets will be digitally hosted on the Daggerheart Nexus on Demiplane. A free account, linked to Roll20, is all you need. At the start of Session 0, Pete will need your email address in order to share content with you. Voice/video chat will be provided via purpose built Discord Server. Cams will be on for this game. It is recommended Discord is run through your phone, as this will take care of both camera and microphone for you. Headphones are optional, however, it is expected there is no/minimal background noise.

What DM PeteWookiee brings to the table

Daggerheart is a collaborative story-telling Role-Playing Game, and as such follows the tenet of "Rulings over Rules". Interpretation, and Rule of Cool, is key here, and as such, there are no bad suggestions for what your character can attempt to do. If anything, the more imaginative the suggestion, the better! Pete loves voices and characterisations. He will be including many throughout the game. HOWEVER - there is no expectation for you to engage in the same if you don't feel comfortable. It is encouraged, but not compulsory. Encounters in this game will not be easy. Death is a real consequence for your characters. However, fortune favours the bold, so don't hold back - because Pete certainly won't be!

Safety

How DM PeteWookiee creates a safe table

We will be holding a full Session 0 free of charge before the first session. This will be an opportunity to discuss the themes and content that will be in the game, and for players to voice their hard and soft lines in regards to said content. If you would prefer to discuss your Lines and Veils privately with Pete, this will also be entirely possible, and such discussions can take place prior to the Session 0. Daggerheart is a collaborative storytelling experience, and Pete is open to almost all topics for inclusion - within reason! The key phrase here is "only when it benefits the narrative" which means nothing should be needlessly gratuitous. However, there is no need for racism, homophobia, transphobia, bullying, or victimisation at Pete's table. Anyone found exercising such behaviours will be removed form the table.
