About the adventure

🎄 WARNING: This Is Not A Cozy Christmas 🎄 Forget sugarplums and warm fireplaces. This year, the Naughty List is fatal. 💀 Every winter, the deranged Mind Flayer known as Santac'Laus descends from his mountain to eat brains and terrorize the village. But this time? You are going to put a permanent stop to it. 🧠🎅 Prepare for a Level 8 Holiday game designed for players who want to test their strongest builds against a threat that is equal parts terrifying and ridiculous. In this chaos-filled One-Shot, you will: 👁️ Battle the "Reindeer": Surviving the sleigh ride is half the battle when the team is pulled by flying eye-monsters. 🤖 Face a Mech? What the... 🎁 Loot the Workshop: Scavenge for defective (and volatile!) magic items created by insane Nothics. Careful, the crackers bite back. 🛡️ Save the Village: Defend the halflings of Flodur before they become the galaxy's newest illithid colony. Bring your Level 8 Heroes, your lucky dice, and a high Wisdom save. Santac'Laus is coming to town! ❄️🐙

About me

Forget random dungeons. My tables are for players who want their choices to have weight, to feel the ripple effects of their actions in a world that feels alive. My background in Social Sciences and Public Administration means I build worlds with depth. ⚖️ Real Consequences: Expect intricate political webs and NPCs driven by realistic motivations. Your decisions will have tangible, cascading consequences that permanently alter the world. 🌎 An International Storyteller As a Brazilian Game Master, I bring a unique cultural perspective to my storytelling, and a professional approach I've shared with players at events like GenCon's Portuguese track. The narratives we build are infused with a different rhythm and a global flavor. I am fluent in English and Portuguese, and I foster a diverse, international community at my tables. If you are a player who craves exploration with real stakes and wants to see your character's legacy written into the fabric of a believable world, then your seat is waiting.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To keep everything organized, all players will need a Discord account and join my server. It’ll be our main hub for chatting, sharing files, and running Session 0. discord.com/register We’ll also be using FoundryVTT to play the game.

What Gabriel Olive brings to the table

✅ Premium VTT Experience: I bring a full suite of professional tools to the table, including stunning, detailed maps, animated spell effects, unique voices for NPCs, and a curated atmospheric soundtrack to ensure total immersion. ✅ As a multi-lingual GM, I bring a diverse range of voices and cultural nuances to the world.

Homebrew rules

I like to stick to the rules for the most part, but I’m totally open to the “rule of cool” when it makes the story more exciting. If you want to try something that’s outside the usual rules, you can spend a use of Inspiration to pull it off. As long as it’s cinematic, fair, and fits the moment, I’m all for letting cool ideas shine!

Safety

How Gabriel Olive creates a safe table

Players can always type on chat X, N, & O's or say them out loud in case things get uncomfortable. X, N, and O Cards are check-in tools. X-Cards are used to indicate that a participant is uncomfortable with the current content, often resulting in a change, rewind, or skip of the aforementioned content. N-Cards can be used by participants if they feel content is heading towards an X card, often resulting in a change or a “fade to back”. O-Cards are used to check-in on the group and ensure that everyone is comfortable continuing with the content.
