About the adventure
Curse of Strahd - CLASSIC DUNGEONS & DRAGONS A retelling of the original Ravenloft module published by TSR in 1983, which is renowned as one of the greatest Dungeons & Dragons adventures ever! Curse of Strahd is a fairly free-form adventure where the characters are drawn into Barovia and must defeat Strahd to escape. The location of three essential magic items (Tome of Strahd, Sunsword, and the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind), the identity of an NPC ally, and the location of Strahd himself are determined by a reading from the Tarokka Deck.

About me
I have been playing Tabletop games since I was 13 which was over 20 years ago. I do this a lot as a hobby and a side gig to help with the cost of DND. My games are designed for players who want to play with the same people every week to build a memorable story together, rather than constantly starting over by joining the next free game pops up. If you want to journey through a long-term official D&D campaign and experience it the way it was meant to played, then join us.

I will provide access to several compendiums for character creation. I will ask questions and guide the player through the process and the party so everything is seamless. Join the discord for more details. Players get 1 free PHB 2024 feat Standard array or point buy Fixed HP. Official DND Beyond material unless otherwise stated.
Players start at level 3. 2024 character creation 1 extra feat (excluding ASI) 1 Common magic item that isn't a weapon or Armor. 3rd party content is allowed but may need to be approved. A discord link will be sent with further details on rules and character creation. Players do not need to purchase anything at all to participate. Everything is included. Access to all relevant sourcebooks for character creation, leveling, and game play is provided free of charge via compendium sharing. I purchase or create many additional materials, including high-quality maps, to make everyone's gaming experience even better. Party consist of currently Bard - Artificer - Paladin
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a mic with good quality. No one wants to listen to chimes, static and random tv shows. We also will use Discord. A link will be provided on approval.
What Dragonborn brings to the table
I will be using VTT it will feature official maps/tokens and other content from the official Module. I also allow other additional options. Last thing I want to do is limit the player freedom. Talk to me and we can go over what is and isn't allowed. I try to do character voices but I am not the best but I try to provide Ambient music and even combat music. I like combat to be thrilling but also tactical combat. Sometimes using Fireball in an open room may not always work XD. RP is really important it helps drive the narrative as to why we even go through the story. Sometimes combat may not happen or vice versa for RP. It depends on the current situation but I try to mix and mash best on the players preferences. I try to stick to the rules of the game but the rule of cool will always stay afront. Of course I do have my limits its important to be quick and efficient, we can't spend 5 minutes of you telling me and the party how you Suplex a guy in the middle of combat.
Homebrew rules
😈 Devilish Reactions (Custom Rule) When a player rolls a Natural 1 on an attack roll, the DM gains 1 Devilish Reaction Point. The DM can spend 1 point to let an enemy immediately use a special reaction — even if they’ve already used one this round. These reactions can include things like: Vicious Riposte: An enemy makes a melee attack against the triggering player. Dark Opportunity: An enemy moves up to half its speed without provoking opportunity attacks. Sinister Surge: An enemy gains advantage on its next attack roll or saving throw. Malevolent Magic: A spellcaster enemy immediately casts a cantrip or recharges a feature early. Limit: The DM can hold a maximum of 3 Devilish Reaction Points at a time. Points reset after a long rest or major encounter. They may not always get used to keep the game state flowing This rule adds a touch of chaos and danger — the more you tempt fate, the more the devils grin. 😈 🦸 Heroic Reactions: Players can spend Inspiration to perform a Heroic Reaction — an extraordinary, cinematic action in response to danger. Examples include: Intercepting a deadly blow meant for an ally. Casting a protective spell or ability normally as an action as a reaction to help another such as Cure Wounds Turning a near-failure into a daring success. Maybe an ally failed a saving throw or skill check that would result in their death or a critical situation and you intervened. Heroic Reactions are DM-approved and gained through Natural 20s or outstanding roleplay moments.
