About the adventure
When a desire for revenge outweighs all ethics and concerns, the damage can spread beyond those who may have deserved it. It is a time of growing darkness. About me
Hello There! You can call me many different things! Gallant, Commander Hellreaper, Morgan LePenguin, Jadyn, and more! I have been GMing for the past 5 years running multiple Campaigns! Namely, I am running a Star Wars Alternate Universe using the Star Wars RPG by Fantasy Flight Games/Edge Studios. I own all three Core Rulebooks and all of the Sourcebooks. I run my games on Foundry VTT, using a Discord Server to talk with players. I have Wednesday through Sunday available for running games. When I run my games, I run them with the themes of the universe in question. Trying to create an experience being both unique while still being true to the feeling of the system/universe. I enjoy allowing my players to shape the Campaigns with their decisions. Allowing the players free will (but certainly not free from consequences!). Being open to discussion to find compromise whenever issues arrive. I like to give my games a feeling of being lived in. Using Worldbuilding to make the world feel real. Giving each NPC their own personalities. I like to use skills I've learned in writing fiction to help players feel connected to the game world. I hope you consider me for your games! Creating your character
Once you have joined our Discord Server and signed-up for this campaign, we will schedule a time for us to work on your character. Whether it be at the earliest convenient time available or during Session 0 will be up to you. We will be using Foundry VTT, and as such what is available will be imputed into the system. We will be using the 2014 rules and material from the following books: The Player’s Handbook, The Dungeon Master’s Guide, Volo’s Guide to Monsters, Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes, Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons, Monsters of the Multiverse, and Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide. If there is something from beyond this list you would like me, the DM, to consider, feel free to message me and we can at least discuss it. We will be starting at Level 1 for the beginning of the Campaign. However, if you join later in the campaign, you will be brought up to the same level as the rest of the party so you are never too far behind. If you are new to D&D 5E, Foundry, or even TTRPGs in general, we are happy to help you through each step of the way. We will be using Point Buy to create the characters.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be using Discord to interact with each other. When you join the server, you will receive your required roles to access the campaign chat. You will need a means to speak to us using your voice. And a device capable of using Foundry VTT (a Desktop or Laptop computer). We will be using Foundry VTT and Forge to actually play and run the game.
What Gallant Ascent brings to the table
I will provide a large array of carefully selected music and ambience to help the game come alive. Using my voice to give personality to the many NPCs you will meet in your journey. I will be providing custom designed combat maps for all sorts of different locations. We will largely be following the rules at written, though if any exceptions arise, I will inform you all. Allowing for the rule of cool to take over when best applicable.

How Gallant Ascent creates a safe table
We will be having a Session 0 where we will go over our expectations for the campaign and to go over all of the possible safety concerns anyone may have. We will also have an RPG Consent Forum pinned in the General Text Chat for everyone to fill out for the sake of player safety and comfort. And should anything ever come out that could be upsetting for the players, we do allow for the player to request the game to pause so we may take a break and or discuss the needs of the player in distress.
