About the adventure

Vibe First and foremost, this fast-paced, light-hearted game is meant to bring fun and laughter into your life. Do you think you could do with more of that? Setting Instead of heroes, you get to play as minions fiercely loyal to the Dark Lord/Lady of the dungeon. You protect your home from those pesky adventurers and go forth into the world to raid villages, scout ancient ruins for artifacts, and run errands you rarely see the purpose of. On peaceful days spent at home, you try to survive the pranks of your fellow dungeon dwellers, and attempt to win favor with the second-in-command of the dungeon, Big Stick. Rules The mechanics are based on a very simple set of moves in the style of Powered by the Apocalypse. The system is light-weight, flexible, and assumes active player involvement. The focus is definitely on the unexpected, often hilarious scenarios created together. It can be picked up and played with minimum effort by anyone. Logistics We will use cameras to see one another’s faces on the screen as if we were together in person. We will have a free Session 0 to create characters, discuss expectations, and establish the details of the dungeon and the surrounding area.

About me

Thanks for stopping by, fellow gamer! You’ll enjoy yourself immensely at my table if you ֍ want to be one of no more than 4 players so that you’ll have ample spotlight ֍ are looking for a welcoming and patient GM who is open to suggestions and feedback, and encourages fellowship ֍ are eager to bring your creativity to the game by coming up with your own ideas and descriptions ֍ agree that helping one another have fun is the surest way for all of us to have the most fun My games are built on my experience GMing a weekly DnD 5E campaign that’s been going on for over 4 years, various one-shots, my enthusiasm for active player contribution, and the joy that fills my heart when my players are happy.

Character creation

Creating your character

I'll send guidance on how to create characters (which is extremely simple) before the campaign starts, but we'll actually make them together at the free Session 0.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll need a Discord account and will receive an invite to my Discord server where we will play. You'll be able to roll on Discord, but if you enjoy rolling physical dice, feel free to bring some! (4 six-sided dice are needed). Also, please make sure that your mic and camera are working. If you want to, you can read the rulebook, which takes about 30 minutes, but it's not strictly necessary.

What GM Gwen brings to the table

I'll bring example characters and a summary of the rules. Most importantly, I'll bring encouragement for you to come up with - and execute - the wackiest of ideas. I'll also bring a focus on creating a safe environment for all, and on everyone getting equal spotlight.

How GM Gwen creates a safe table

I will send out a Lines and Veils document before the game and we'll discuss any necessary elements in Session 0. X and N cards might be held up or spoken as 'Stop, please, and let's skip this/rewind/discuss this/change direction...' At the end of the game, we'll reflect on the game and our respective experience.
