About the adventure

Princess: The Hopeful is a fan made game system meant to put Magical Girls into the World of Darkness. You are warriors of the Queens of the Dreamlands meant to protect yourselves and Humanity from the dark forces that threaten them. What if Y2K really was the disaster we all expected it to be? Not because of anything humanity was doing wrong, but because it was an attack from the Dark Powers of the world, an event of hopelessness so prevalent that it would cause hundreds of Princesses across the world to lose their hope, lose their powers, and transform into evil monsters An emergency meeting was called by the Queens. The few princesses left met, and saw how their numbers had dwindled. More fell to hopelessness in that moment. It's two years later, and humanity is finally back on track, and there is enough Hope in the world that Princesses are starting to Blossom again. Many other supernatural creatures don't want that, and will do much to prevent it. You will play Princesses who Blossomed in a fictional Michigan small town called Providence, just outside of Traverse City. You will have to deal with being the few protectors of your small town from the threats both within it and outside it. Because this is a fan made game line for the Chronicles of Darkness, you won't just have your own enemies to deal with. You will also have the various supernatural creatures who keep themselves secret from mortals as various problems in your way. Vampires, Werewolves, Mad Scientists, and Ghosts are all very real threats to you.

About me

I am a DM with 8 years of tabletop roleplaying experience. I have DMed D&D 5e, Challenger, Fantasy Flight Star Wars, Open Legend, and others. Right now, I am also an indie TTRPG creator, and I wanted to branch out into the somewhat similar field of paid DMing

Character creation

Creating your character

We will have a session 0 where we create characters and possibly how the group knows each other already.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Take a quick perusal of the character creation section of the rulebook for Princess: The Hopeful.

What Hypnos brings to the table

The rulebook is available for free online but I will be providing a simple introduction into the setting and rules of Princess: The Hopeful, so while I do recommend you take a look through the character creation section to maybe get an idea of what you want, I will not require knowledge of the game beforehand.

Equipment needed to play

Safety

How Hypnos creates a safe table

I will have a living Lines and Veils document that can be added to at any point during the story.
