About the adventure
Geb. A nation dominated by the undead. Under the rule of the ghost king and his elite council of Blood Lords, this land has repelled its enemies and prospered for hundreds of years. Investigating a seemingly minor incident will send you, a group of unknown agents, to unravel a conspiracy that threatens all of Geb. Along the way, you'll meet a number of the Blood Lords and even the ghost king himself. Ultimately, you will see yourselves propelled to the ranks of the Blood Lords yourselves - assuming you can deal with backstabbing rivals, bitter politicking, and a host of terrible creatures that seek to violently end your ambitions. Blood Lords is an epic adventure path that will take your party from level 1 all the way to level 20. We'll be using the Free Archetype rule from the Gamemastery Guide to give your characters a little more flavor. Players of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced hands, are welcome to join. All my games are LGBT+ friendly.

About me
I'm a long time RPG player and GM. I ran for my high school friends on the 90s, and I've run for my current gaming group off and on for almost 20 years. I enjoy most anything that brings fun to the table, be it a crunchy dungeon crawl or a quirky indie game. As a GM, I love seeing what sorts of characters my players will bring to the game, and then throwing those characters into memorable stories with shocking twists. I've also got a fondness for Japanese tabletop RPGs, many of which are great for one-shots.

Creating your character
We'll be using standard character creation rules, plus the Free Archetype variant from GM Core. Players are encouraged to use Pathbuilder (available free online and on mobile devices) to build their characters. Common options are always available; Uncommon and Rare options will require approval, but it will most likely be given. Pregenerated characters will also be available for anyone who wants one.
Our party consists of a halfling dhampir rogue, a human animist, a skeleton champion, and a human cleric. They are currently level 18.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Each player will need a working mic and an account on Discord (which we'll use both for voice chat and for communicating between sessions). Players should also download the player's guide (https://downloads.paizo.com/BloodLords_PlayersGuide.pdf) for advice and new backgrounds appropriate to the Adventure Path.

How Steve creates a safe table
Session 0 will cover player introductions and character creation. It will probably not run as long as a standard game session. We'll be using a Foundry module for the X Card. Session 0 will be free for all players, and session 1 will be half price.
