Character creation

Creating your character

Players should have a general idea of the character they want to play. A one page max background is encouraged to begin, so I can review it before sesion 0. On session 0 we will discuss some of the more complex intrecacies of the system and the paradigm proposal mage has. We will see how the different character may play off of each other, then make the necesary adjustments and technical corrections After the session they can take their time to create a more in depth background (which they must share with me via google doc for feedback). Not everything need be set in stone, but deciding on some key features will facilitate gameplay and fun

What to expect

Preparing for the session

I have set up a discord server for us to use. There we can host the sessions (voice chat), share images and links of characters and places, and I can keep everyone up to date for any public announcements, etc.

What Pedro brings to the table

I place the player's comfort and enjoyment above all else, then the story, then the mechanics I am flexible with rules but make sure they remain coherent and practical I do some character voices when the mood strikes me

Homebrew rules

I have somewhat modified the combat to be more streamlined, using learnings from Mage: the ascention and other systems, to let magic shine and not boggle down the action

Safety

How Pedro creates a safe table

We will be using Lines and Veils. Players can message me a list of their lines and veils, then we will have a brief discussion on sesion 0 to confirm everyone is aware of what the boundaries are going to be. If any player wishes to change their lines and veilsgoing forward, they can do so either by messaging me directly
