About the adventure
Welcome to Thay — a land of volcanoes, black citadels, and the crimson-robed magocracy that enslaves an empire. In The Crimson Ascendancy, you will rise from obscure Thayan agents to the architects of its final age — a political and necromantic epic built entirely from official 3.5e material, unified into a seamless saga of dark ambition. The story weaves together adventures and lore from Unapproachable East, Lords of Darkness, Champions of Ruin, and select Dungeon Magazine modules, taking you across the scarred plains of Thay, the haunted city of Eltabbar, and the infernal chambers of the Black Academy. Across five acts, your characters will: Serve one of the Zulkirs or Szass Tam himself, navigating treacherous alliances. Uncover forbidden pacts with devils and undead, binding souls to your ascent. Witness the necromantic civil war that tears Thay apart. Decide the fate of the world’s most feared nation — salvation, domination, or eternal undeath. “In Thay, loyalty is the last spell you ever cast.” This campaign explores political machination, magical philosophy, and the cost of immortality. It rewards deep roleplay, cunning strategy, and those who understand that evil does not always mean wrong — only powerful.

About me
Hello everyone! Greetings from Greece! I've been delving into the world of roleplaying games for over 15 years now, with around 10 years of experience as a Game Master. While my heart remains true to the timeless allure of DnD 3.5 edition, I've also developed a fondness for running Cthulhu, Savage Worlds, and I'm always eager to explore new systems. My passion lies in fostering immersive roleplay, orchestrating epic battles, and crafting captivating adventures that leave players on the edge of their seats. As a business owner, I cherish the flexibility of my schedule, allowing me to delve into professional gameplay experiences for the sheer joy of it, while seeking players who are equally devoted to character development and the intricate tales that unfold. Beyond the gaming realm, I find solace in horseback riding, and I've also found myself drawn to the world of arts, wearing the hats of both a singer and an occasional actor. Initially, my journey into acting was motivated by a desire to enhance my skills as a Dungeon Master. However, my profound love for the arts, including playing the piano and professional singing, has led me to embrace the world of theater, where I've actively participated in numerous productions. Looking forward to connecting with fellow enthusiasts and weaving unforgettable stories together!

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Join my Discord (invite provided upon booking). Have Roll20 ready for play — I’ll handle all setup. Prepare a backstory seed about your loyalty, ambition, or betrayal within Thay. Bring curiosity, treachery, and a will to ascend. No prior Realms knowledge is required — everything is taught in-world.
What Antigoni brings to the table
🎙️ Cinematic narration and fully voiced NPCs when the story demands it. 🎧 Ambient music and atmospheric soundscapes tailored to Thay’s volcanic dread and whispered decadence. ⚔️ Tactical yet fast combat, built around tension, consequence, and character choices. 🪄 Rule of Cool, not strict RAW — your character concept matters more than rigid text. 📜 Session recaps and political summaries to help track loyalties, factions, and power shifts. My style is narrative-first, with a focus on immersion, consequence, and the poetry of power.

How Antigoni creates a safe table
Even in a world of undead emperors, player safety comes first. We’ll begin with a Session Zero to establish tone, expectations, and comfort levels. Tools used: Lines & Veils for content boundaries. Open Door Policy — step away anytime without question. Tone calibration to ensure intensity never becomes discomfort. The campaign embraces mature themes of power, morality, and identity, never cruelty or shock. This is about playing with darkness, not being consumed by it.
