About the adventure

Plot: Your friend Ruby, a Sparrow scout has gone missing. It happened on the annual camping trip outside of city limits. The scout leader is assuring everyone, including the Troll Safety Patrol that the area was completely safe and no monsters or creatures were present. Everyone else was asleep when Ruby disappeared, but saw her leave the tent. Where could she be? Perhaps the Ratking knows, or the ever vigilant elves. On top of everything the trolls have been getting closer and closer to the wall lately. Perhaps she was eaten by one of them! It's up to you to find out! This campaign takes place in the whimsical world of Trolberg from the Netflix show Hilda. A world of deer-foxes, contract obsessed elves, and of course, trolls. You will create a kid, teenager or adult to explore, that is either from Trolberg or new in town. *I DO NOT OWN Hilda or the city of Trolberg* This is a fan campaign made from love and parody.

About me

Itching for adventure and immersive storytelling? Then I'm your GM! A kind fae that would definitely never steal your name, soul, or anything else of the sort, and I resent the accusation! I have a background in theatre and years of playing pretend in the woods, so expect lots of over the top roleplay, whimsy, and lots of in depth worlds! I place a lot of important on open communication, rule simplifying, and above all else, having a great time. Of course, new players are more than welcome at all of my games! I love building worlds that feel lived in, with a lot of culture and many individual characters. I also LOVE taking the ideas my players give me, and running with them. So don't be surprised when that one small joke you made during character creation comes back at a large scale in the story! I am flexible, adapt to my player's needs and put great effort in my games. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!

Character creation

Creating your character

Once you have signed up, I will put you into my discord server where you can chat with other players. It will have all of the resources you will need for the game. From there we will arrange a one on one meeting to build your character and brainstorm what kind of story you would like to tell! From there we will schedule a session 0 with everyone and see how everyone knows each other and meets.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Try to brainstorm what kind character you want to be. Have some inspiration in mind, and an idea of how your age and interests will effect your stats. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART is to think of what kind of interactions you've had with magical creatures! Have you only heard rumors, but never seen one yourself, or did you grow up in the wild and saw strange magical things every day, leaving Trolberg to feel quite sterile and boring?

What Alex Teatime brings to the table

I have the rule book of Kids on Bikes as well as pdf's and slide shows breaking down the rules simply. While playing expect lots of character voices and detailed descriptions of settings. There will also most likely be art and maybe music. I am 100% a rule of cool GM, so know that whatever crazy idea you come up with, I will try to find a way to make it happen or at least something simular that will make you feel cool and free. But know that I am a GM that will move the world even if you aren't looking at it. This means that if you tell a character you saw something strange in the sewers in session one, don't be surprised if you find them in the sewers 2 sessions later after never talking to them again.

Safety

How Alex Teatime creates a safe table

This will mostly be a very cozy campaign with adventures that may have darker themes. The content warnings are more for "just in case." If there is anything that you absolutely do not want included we will be going over out safety tools in our session 0. Lines tell us we won't be covering a topic at all, and veils will mean they might be implied but won't be explicitly talked about in detail. If something does come up in game simply use our cards to let me know you'd like to skip or erase a moment. And at the end of every session we will review and talk about what everyone liked, what not. And what you would like to see more or less of in the future.
