About the adventure
Descend into the depths of Thornvale, a vast underground realm where echoes of a lost age still linger in the dark. Once a thriving kingdom of insect-kind and strange spirits, Thornvale now lies fractured—its tunnels overrun by decay, its cities silent, and its rulers long fallen to corruption. As a band of daring explorers, knights, and wanderers, you will delve into the caverns to uncover ancient truths, lost relics, and the mysterious power that still pulses beneath the stone. Will you restore what was broken, or carve your own legend from the ruins of a hollow world? The shadows of Thornvale whisper your name - will you answer? 🌑 Explore sprawling underground regions - glimmering crystal caverns, fungal forests, and cities carved into the husks of ancient titans. 🕯️ Encounter strange and tragic denizens: masked knights, fanatical cults, and beings of forgotten divinity. ⚔️ Battle infected beasts, ancient guardians, and rival explorers seeking power in the dark. 🔮 Unearth relics of light and Void - artifacts that can shape both your destiny and the world’s decay. 💀 Unravel the mysteries of Thornvale’s downfall and decide whether to heal, rule, or abandon its dying heart. This is a beginner-friendly, story-driven campaign inspired by Hollow Knight. While major story arcs are prepared, the heart of the tale will grow from your characters’ choices and histories. Don’t worry if you’re new - during Session Zero, we’ll build your character and weave them into the living myth of Thornvale.

About me
Looking for an immersive, narrative-driven RPG experience? I’m a professional GM with over 15 years of experience running TTRPGs, spanning D&D 5e & 3.5e, Call of Cthulhu, Vampire: The Masquerade, Cyberpunk: Red, Blades in the Dark, and even my own custom system built on Fuzion, set in a rich fantasy-medieval world. If you are interested in any of these, but available campaings and one-shots - message me directly or use the Custom Booking option. I run games on Foundry VTT & Discord, enhanced with custom scenarios, dynamic music, and a dedicated Notion wiki to keep track of the world and your journey. If you’re looking for a consistent, high-quality game where storytelling and player agency shine—let’s roll the dice! My first encounter with TTRPG was playing DnD 3.5e at my local library when I was still in primary school. Since then, I have been regularly playing and DM'ing. I've used to professionally DM for teens and kids as young as 6 years old at summer camps, as well as at Fantasy Conventions for the Polish publisher of Call of Cthullu.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen on a session zero and character sheets will be integrated into the Foundry VTT. I'm going to help with everything you will need to create a bug of your dreams that works within the rules of FATE Core System.

Safety
How Gustaw creates a safe table
The most important safety tool for us will be a session zero, when we will discuss everything we want and don't want to happen during the campaign. RPG Consent Checklist will allow us to remember everything we establish and stick to it. I can explain all safety tools in detail during session zero. While both Player Characters and NPCs will have flaws, which might include prejudices like sexism, racism, homophobia (broad anti-LGBTQ+ views) or religious fanaticism, those harmful preconceptions are not allowed at the table and players who exhibit them will be excluded from playing. If you want your adventurer to share some of those negative ideas (for example - so they can overcome them in an impactful story arc) you must first discuss it with me and the whole group, to ensure everybody will feel comfortable. Members of the crew are meant to work together as a team. Any disputes or antagonism between players' characters should be consensual and mild, so they won't derail the campaign nor bleed into the real world. Tabletop role-playing games are meant to be a fun way to express yourself and spend some quality time. Those rules and tools exist not to limit you as a player, but to guarantee that everyone is having a great time.
