After 2000 years, the island of Immion resurfaced a couple of years ago, prompting numerous large-scale expeditions, all of which failed to return. Soon a grim revelation set in: there was a barrier of chaotic magical energies surrounding the island, allowing for entry but not allowing those who entered to leave. It was discovered that messages could pass through, and after deliberations with some of Faerun's greatest minds and those who claimed to represent Immion, it was decided to work on removing this barrier and freeing this lost world so it could rejoin the realm it was separated from so long ago. By utilizing ancient knowledge and receiving guidance from messages from beyond the storm, a team of researchers and talented artificers successfully constructed a device that is believed to have the ability to temper chaotic magical energies. However, the device still lacks a crucial element, a Shard of Aetherium, a focusing crystal exclusive to Immion. Once this component is placed, the contact can initiate the ritual to disrupt the barrier's controlling powers. Due to the complications with traveling to Immion, the researchers built 4 of these devices to each be carried by a different group of adventurers who are to ensure the device’s survival and that it reaches Luminaria, the capital city of Immion. The adventurers are asked to practice some discretion; the contact within Immion claims the powers that erected the barrier have eyes everywhere; they are not to discuss the device nor the nature of the mission with anyone; and when arriving in Luminaria, they are to seek out the Keg and Coin tavern and speak the code phrase to the bartender with an eye patch, then wait for instructions. The players assume the role of a hired party bound for Immion. In this open-world campaign, set within a land spanning over 100,000 square miles and offering complete freedom of choice, what path will you choose? Welcome to the Lost World...

About me
Hi, it's That One Guy, DM Mike, I have over 25 years of experience as a GM in a multitude of systems. I love building homebrew sandboxes and open worlds, that multiple tables exist in at the same time, for my players to explore. Each world has its own deep lore with a narrative crafted by the player's choices. Couldn't care less about the evil warlord/gang leader oppressing their people and would rather see what's going on in the world's biggest city or start a business empire? Go for it; there are things to be discovered and stories everywhere you go. Everyone is welcome to my games, as I try to cultivate a culture of acceptance and inclusion at my tables. I am experienced in and offer various systems including D&D 5E and 2024 update, DC20, all World of Darkness titles i.e. Vampire and Werewolf, Final Fantasy RPG, Reclaim the Wild (Legend of Zelda RPG), Monster of the Week, Mutants and Masterminds 3E, Fallout 2d20 and many more. Just feel free to ask! Anything from fully realized homebrew worlds, to official modules and campaigns upon request. I have been a lover of storytelling and TTRPGs since I was a child because I grew up with a father who held weekly D&D games (AD&D) for his friends. I would read the books while watching my dad run his friends through dungeons and battles. I was 8 the first time I played D&D (AD&D) and was 12 when I ran my first game (AD&D 2E) for friends. Later, I discovered the wider world of TTRPGs and became the go-to GM for my friends and other people they would ask me to GM for. Over the years, I have hosted small tables, large tables, tables at people's homes, tables at hobby shops, and online tables, and I can't get enough. So help feed my addiction to telling stories and crafting memorable experiences for players by joining a table!
