About the adventure
Using the Deathwatch ruleset, players will take the role of Astartes serving under Malcador the Sigilite and his Knights Errant during the Horus Heresy. Characters can be made from any of the 18 Legions, and will be playing as Rank 3 characters. for combat encounters and maps, we will be using Roll20. While Deathwatch is a very combat-heavy, crunchy game, there will be plenty of non-combat conflicts and situations, and roleplay is heavily encouraged.

Creating your character
Players will be expected to make Rank 3 characters using the Deathwatch rulebook. All of the published expansions to Deathwatch are allowed to be used for this if you so choose. Homebrew material is largely banned, but if you are interested in using something homebrew, send it to me and I'll see if I can allow it!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have a Roll20 account, and I would encourage them to also have a Discord account; I intend to make a server for this game, so we can coordinate things like character creation and Session 0, have a place to post inside jokes/memes, and whatever needs may come up.
What Gates brings to the table
I will bring digital battlemaps, tokens, character voices, tactical combat, and an extensive knowledge of the setting and its themes!
Homebrew rules
As all 18 Legions are playable, there will be some homebrew of my own making all 18 legions have statblocks that are usable, which I will share with you all once we get started.
