Creating your character

We’ll handle character creation together in Session Zero. Leading up to that, we’ll use Discord chat for discussion, questions, and sharing ideas. Characters will be built directly in Demiplane, which lets us all stay on the same page and access the same rules content. Let's dive into creating your character for our grand adventure! I'm here to help develop your concept into a full-fledged character, no matter where you're starting from. Starting Level: 1 Sources: Stick to the Player Core and other official Pathfinder 2e options available in Demiplane (no 3rd-party/homebrew at the start). Backstories: Short and simple is fine! Session Zero will help tie your characters into the group and the Stolen Lands. Ability Scores in Pathfinder 2e In Pathfinder 2e, you do not typically roll for ability scores. Instead, you generate them through Ancestry, Background, and Class, which grant Ability Boosts and Ability Flaws. This structured method creates balanced and customizable characters. Standard Method (No Rolling): 1. Choose Ancestry, Background, and Class — these grant specific ability boosts. 2. Apply Ability Boosts — increases to ability scores based on those choices. 3. Take Free Boosts — four free boosts you can assign anywhere (no more than +1 to a single score per step). 4. Voluntary Flaws (Optional): You may take additional flaws in exchange for more boosts, giving you even more control. 5. Apply Class & Ancestry Flaws — some choices impose flaws that shape your character.

Preparing for the session

Before Session Zero, please make sure you: 1. Join the Discord Server — All communication, updates, and roleplay will run through Discord. 2. Create a Demiplane Account — We’ll use Demiplane for character creation, shared rules access, and campaign management. 3. Check Your Tech — Have a working mic/headset, stable internet, and whatever device you’ll play on. A webcam is optional but encouraged. 4. Review Pathfinder Basics — If you’re new, skim the free Archives of Nethys (https://2e.aonprd.com) or the quick reference guide for Pathfinder 2e actions. 5. Think About Your Character — Come with a loose concept (ancestry/class/background) or just a theme, and we’ll refine it together in Session Zero.

I run mostly RAW (Rules As Written), but I’m open to case-by-case homebrew when it supports fun, creativity, or story. Player ideas and unique abilities are always welcome — we’ll collaborate to establish fair and consistent rulings together.

Aftercare: Following intense sessions, I'll check in with players to ensure everyone is feeling okay.
