About the adventure
This campaign is set in a city that never sleeps, a maze of alleys, neon signs, crumbling tenements, and luxury towers looming over the broken streets. Corruption festers in its courts and precincts, and every gang, cartel, and corporation claws for a piece of power. Ordinary people keep their heads down, hoping the violence passes them by. But for those who can’t look away, the choice is simple: fight back, or let the city rot. The tone is dark and unflinching. Violence is personal, justice is murky, and every victory costs something. Heroes bleed, fail, and suffer—yet they rise again, because no one else will. Expect stories about crime families, conspiracy, betrayal, and redemption. Powers, when they appear, are rare and dangerous, more curse than gift, and just enough to tip the balance when fists and grit alone won’t do. This is a game for players who want drama rooted in the streets, not cosmic battles or world-ending threats. It rewards those who enjoy moral complexity, hard choices, and the tension of living double lives. You’ll step into the roles of vigilantes, detectives, or reluctant champions, navigating both the back alleys and the courtroom steps. We’ll play with a focus on character development, grounded action, and the consequences of every decision. Expect cinematic fight scenes, noir-inspired investigations, and moments that test not only your characters' abilities but also his beliefs. Creating your character
New characters start at the same level as the rest of the group, and begin with 12 advancements. I'll walk through character creation with players at session zero, and with new players one-on-one as they join the campaign.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Know your character sheets and the personality of your character. I highly encourage practicing your character and how they'll think and interact with everyday things. Make sure you have your backstory in place so we know how it is that you'll behave. Mics, a Discord account, and a Roll20 account are all required. Owning the PDFs or books will be very helpful and lead to less frustration, and so is highly recommended. Support publishers of content you love.
