About me
Hi! My name is Ellie, and I have been playing Ttrpgs since I was in middle school. I began with 3.5 but quickly started dabbling in whatever system I could get my hands on. I GMed for friends and family until I began consistently running paid games for San Japan's Adventurer's League in 2020. I have written and worked on modules for several systems and enjoy doing what I love!

Creating your character
Please create characters using 2024 dungeons and dragons 5e materials only, level one with stats either standard array or point buy. The characters may be created privately but will be vetted before the game. Your characters will be new or inexperienced adventurers from the forgotten realms, I am very comfortable with twisting and bending the lore of the setting but will ask that they at least retain the correct tone.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The game will be run over a combination of Discord and Roll20, before the game please have a functional microphone, Discord account, and a free Roll20 account.
What Robbin brings to the table
I use character voices and attempt to keep a high level of Roleplay throughout. I will utilize music but it is optional and can be muted on a player by player basis. I prefer to keep to Rules as Written especially as I enjoy tactical and well planed combat, but am happy to hand wave for guaranteed events, such as moving purely to role play once a combat has been effectively ended, I will not force you to mechanic out killing the last two goblins after you have cleared the rest of the horde and their leader unless you are nearly dead and they pose a serious danger. While I do not use a timer, would like to keep the pace of combat moving. I prefer to keep metagaming to a minimum and consider acting on information your character does not know to be metagaming, such as actions of another player in a different location, capabilities of monsters or enemies based on your familiarity with the statblock, or acting based on me making a mistake and revealing something to you the player you are not supposed to know or have access to. Discussing actions, ideas and strategies between players in combat and similar scenarios is not metagaming in my eyes, you would be familiar with each other enough to know each other's capabilities and work together more fluidly than you and players would be comfortable with especially in the early sessions.
Homebrew rules
I do not use grids, but instead use inches of measurements, which allows me to avoid "all these squares make a circle" complications. I also discuss optional rules with the party in session 0 as I am comfortable but not married to many of them.

Safety
How Robbin creates a safe table
I will be providing Lines and Veils documents privately to each player for them to complete and return to me, I will then combine them all with all listed lines and veils from all players (along with myself) in a single document so that no one feels singled out or as though they need to defend themself. I will dedicate at least 10 minutes at the end of each session to check in with players and discuss their feeling about the session as well as if there is anything they wish to address. I also leave myself open to be contacted privately during the game at any time to be informed about things making them uncomfortable either by changing the direction or directly addressing it, up to the player's discretion. I also hold a session 0 to discuss characters, give more context and information about the setting, and go through these documents and processes as a group.
