About the adventure
“To be alive… to walk this earth… that’s the real curse right there.” — DARK SOULS II (2014) Nestled out of public view, Geb is Golarion’s dirty little secret. How did they become the breadbasket of the world? Easy — unliving workers lack collective bargaining power. Zombie workers till the fields and tend to livestock, providing bountiful feasts across the land. While the mindless undead are occupied with their menial tasks, those of higher reasoning have one thing on their mind: power. They curry favor and take any opportunity they can to get their foot in the door, and everyone has the same goal in mind — become a Blood Lord, a member of Geb’s ruling council. Blood Lords are not limited by heritage or class. All you need is skill, tenacity, and luck. Opportunity has just come knocking. One of Greydirge’s middling bureaucrats needs help investigating strange occurrences on a local farm. Troubleshooting simple problems like this is the easiest way to curry favor with the voices that matter, and to work your way up to the highest echelons. This is your first step. Of course, these things are never as simple as they seem. A cursory look at the farm suggests that awful word… sabotage. Pull at this thread, and more come loose: assassination, burglary, and other dark dealings in Greydirge’s underground. Discovering and defeating the wicked forces behind this insidious plot will go a long way towards advancing your place in the ranks, but beware — one wrong move, and your first step might be your last! ☠️ A chance to flex your lawful evil, scheming chops! 🔧 Premium Foundry module published by Paizo 🗺️ High-resolution art, battlemaps, tokens, and animations 🎭 Professional theatrical storytelling and a dedication to detail 🎶 Immersive audio, from unquiet undead to creaking organs 🖥️ All official game resources and technology to rise to glory ⚔️ Beginner-friendly while still engaging more experienced pathfinders 🏳️🌈 Inclusive environment for all identities, in and out of game 🛎️ Weekly office hours for questions, concerns, and casual banter Blood Lords is an Adventure Path of gothic horror and political intrigue for Pathfinder Second Edition. Player characters will advance from Level 1 to Level 20 as they uncover insidious plots in undead lands, rising from simple bureaucrats to wicked elites in the process. Inspired by works like EMPIRE OF THE DEAD, THE SANDMAN, and THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, politics will be the death of you!

How MJ creates a safe table
The content warnings detailed below list items that are likely to appear in the game. This is not a complete list of sensitive content that might arise mid-session. Part of our Session 0 will involve discussing players’ comfort levels with potentially triggering topics, and the game can be altered to minimize or even avoid certain subject matter. Players who join mid-campaign should discuss these topics with the GM during weekly office hours. Certain themes are so central to the text that to remove them from the game would be to destroy the campaign’s fundamental premise. Geb is a caste-based society where the living are used for food, leather, and other survival necessities. Death hangs over the story like a shroud, and basic decency is considered a hindrance. The most successful political players are those who can lie, steal, cheat, and slay their way to the top. Tabletop role-playing games are meant to be an escape from the horrors of the real world, and as a queer woman, I pride myself on making my tables a safe and inclusive environment for all. Above-table prejudices such as racism, misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia are unacceptable at my table and will lead to your immediate removal from a session without refund, as well as a ban from all present and future tables hosted by this GM.
