About the adventure
The Pathfinder Society stands at a crossroads. In the wake of upheaval and conflict, the organization’s leaders have chosen a new path — one that embraces the core ideals upon which the Society was founded: exploration, cooperation, and discovery. As new recruits and seasoned agents alike, you have been called to take up the mantle of the Pathfinders and journey into a bold new era: the Year of the Open Road. This is not merely a call to adventure — it is a summons to travel the length and breadth of Golarion in pursuit of the unknown. The Decemvirate, the mysterious masked leaders of the Society, have declared that the coming year will be devoted to rebuilding trust, forging alliances, and uncovering the secrets that lie beyond the edges of the map. Ancient ruins wait to be unearthed, forgotten civilizations beg to be rediscovered, and dangerous plots lurk in the shadows — all waiting for heroes brave enough to confront them. Over the course of this campaign, we will play through the Year of the Open Road scenario arc one chapter at a time, week by week. Each session will bring a new mission: sometimes a daring delve into an ancient tomb, sometimes a diplomatic journey to distant lands, and sometimes a perilous hunt for thieves, traitors, and monsters that threaten the Society’s work. But every mission is part of a larger story — a sweeping saga of intrigue, discovery, and heroism that will shape the Pathfinder Society’s future. As agents of the Society, you will: hart new horizons: Explore strange ruins, forgotten kingdoms, and mysterious frontiers across Golarion. Forge powerful alliances: Work with factions, scholars, rulers, and rival adventurers — or cross swords with them. Uncover hidden truths: Solve ancient mysteries, expose sinister conspiracies, and leave your mark on history. Build your legend: As your characters grow in power and reputation, the Pathfinder Society itself will change and evolve because of your actions. The Year of the Open Road is an ideal entry point for both new players and veterans. Each scenario is a complete story in itself, but together they form a rich and interconnected tapestry — one where choices, friendships, and discoveries echo far beyond a single mission. Expect tales of danger and wonder, laughter and loss, triumph and tragedy — and a fellowship forged on the dusty roads and starry nights of a world brimming with adventure. So sharpen your blades, pack your spellbooks, and mark your maps. Your journey begins at the doors of the Grand Lodge in Absalom, where the world’s greatest explorers are gathering to set out once more beneath the open sky. Welcome, Pathfinders. The road awaits — and it is calling you.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I have been running games since I was ten years old and have always enjoyed stories of hijinks and high adventure as well as the occasional creepy crawl into the shadowy abyss. I enjoy a wide variety of games and love to have a table filled with laughter. I have experience running games for players between 7 years old and 87 years old, if you need an experience tailored to your specific age group or other demographic, I would be happy to work with you to get just the game you are looking for. Creating your character
This is an official Organized Play activity, so you will need a character that is Pathfinder Society legal: https://lorespire.paizo.com/tiki-index.php?page=pfs2guide._.Character-Creation-Guidelines If you are new to the game, you can play a pre-generated character and we'll help you learn the ropes. Society play is actually a wonderful way to learn who to play Pathfinder 2.
We are going through Season One: The Open Road scenarios in order along with Quests and Bounties. We have a great group but could take one more. Join us and learn all sorts of Pathfinder Lore and see every corner of Golarion. Currently on Season 1 Scenario 6, so much amazing content to come!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
To ensure you have access to all the tools and benefits available to our players, you need to register a paizo.com account for organized play. If you have not yet created an account, you can do so by navigating to paizo.com, clicking “Sign In” in the upper righthand corner of the page, and then clicking the “Create New Account” button and following the instructions on the following pages. Once you’ve created a paizo.com account, log in and hover over the “My Account” tab in the upper-right corner of the screen and select “Organized Play” from the dropdown menu (for mobile phone users, you may need to tap on “My Account” for the dropdown to appear). This will take you to your personalized Paizo Organized Play page. From here, you can download a copy of your Organized Play ID Card, examine or update any of the characters you register, and view a log of the sessions you’ve played. To register a new character, click “Register a New Pathfinder Society (2nd edition) Character” near the bottom of the page. If you don’t have a chance to register before your first game, your Game Master (GM) will give you an Organized Play ID number you can input when you do register to get credit for that game.
