About the adventure

It has been two years. Two long years since anyone has seen the sun in the sky. Two long years since any have felt the kiss of it's warmth on their skin. Icewind Dale has been cursed with an eternal winter. The cold has permeated everything and it is all the inhabitants can do to keep alive and the population decreases daily. The cause? Auril the Frostmaiden. No one knows why she has begun casting a spell that creates an eternal night, but the inhabitants of Ten Towns scramble for ways to appease her wrath so they might survive. But after two long years few hold on to much hope that they will ever see the sun again or even that they will survive for much longer. Leaving Ten Towns is not an appealing option either. They would have to leave behind everything they have in life and the blizzards that rage through the arctic wasteland of Icewind Dale does not offer much salvation. No one that has attempted to leave Icewind Dale has been heard form again... You are Ten Town's last hope for survival, all that can stand in the way of Auril the Frostmaiden. But how does one confront the will of a god? What long lost secrets, buried deep beneath the ice and snow will you discover while searching for a way to end Auril's reign of terror in the north? The only way to find out is to brave the blizzards of that frozen wasteland, to face the horrors lurking in that eternal darkness. Do you have the courage to save Icewind Dale, and perhaps even the world? Step forth into that darkness, brave soul. Step forth toward destiny... Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden is level 1-11 campaign that sees the adventures attempt to survive the frozen wastes while searching for a way to end the eternal winter wrought by the Frostmaiden. About me

I enjoy playing and running games of any kind really, enjoying the random chance of the dice and the stories that come from it all. I like all facets of ttrpgs, (Combat, roleplay, puzzles) and am open to any variation of that. I have played and run games on and off for over 20 years and have consistently run a game weekly for over a year now.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation and how stats are done will be handled during Session 0. Any officially released WOTC book for 2014 and 2024 is allowed. UA and Homebrew may be okay but I need to look it over first. Characters will be made on Roll 20. (Beyond is fine if you have the Beyond 20 extension.)

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players need a Roll 20 and Discord accounts. You should receive the Discord invite when you join the campaign and can get the Roll 20 link from there.

What DM Revan brings to the table

I provide maps for all encounters, so there's always a reference of some kind for combat. I do voice acting for enemies and NPCs, though I'm no professional voice actor. As for rules, I run mostly rules as written, making it easier to know what to expect.

Homebrew rules

Can discuss homebrew stuff during session 0.
