About the adventure

Your world is made up of islands cast recklessly across a wide sea. To many, the endless horizon means adventure, freedom, the promise of new tomorrows. Except in the last turn of the year or so, there are fewer travelers at the docks. Trade has diminished. Usually, there are new islands being found all the time, adding to an ever-expanding map...but now, if anything, islands are being lost. The most skilled navigators cannot find certain islands. And there's this sinking feeling settling in. That maybe the world isn't as wide as you once thought. In fact. It may even be getting smaller. Get in on the ground floor of this new TTRPG where everyone is a beginner! We start at Level One. Hold on to your hats, folks. This is going to be quite the high-seas adventure.

About me

My name is Alexandria (she/her) and I've been playing tabletop rpgs for sixteen years, and I've been a professional Gm for the last four. I enjoy telling character-focused stories with a focus on player agency. I love making maps for my games and providing visuals for all my NPCs. I strive to ensure a welcoming environment for all. I am huge on player safety and making sure everyone is having fun!

Character creation

Creating your character

Before the campaign starts I will touch base with everyone before we meet for Session Zero and make sure that everyone knows how to get started. Characters will be made in Foundry either leading up to or during Session Zero. We are starting at level one.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will be using a mix of Discord and Foundry for this game, so you will need accounts for both. If you need any help with this, please let me know and I will assist.

What Alexandria brings to the table

I make custom maps and music for all of my campaigns. I do my best to create detailed visuals for all settings and NPCs you will encounter. I'm a Rule of Cool GM who fell in love with Daggerheart. As this is a new system, no one is an expert yet! So as long as you don't expect flawlessness from me, I certainly won't expect it from you. I sseek to create a very forgiving, learning space for all of us. I prefer to utilize a mix of roleplay and combat, but if anything I am heavier with roleplay sessions. Most importantly--everyone should always, always, always feel safe and seen at my table. If you're not having fun, I'm not doing my job properly.

Safety

How Alexandria creates a safe table

Upon joining my private discord server, I will send you a link to a general Lines and Veils sheet to fill out. We will speak individually about what you're comfortable with, and also how we feel about certain topics in a group setting. Before Session Zero, hard lines will be made explicitly clear and will be pinned in the Discord channel for the game to refer back to whenever needed. My Foundry has an anonymous X-card built in, and I highly encourage players to use it the moment they become uncomfortable with anything, in or out of character. I practice a variation of Stars and Wishes at the end of my sessions. I also will check in if we veer close to a known sensitive topic, or if things get heated. I also have an Open Door policy--you may step away at any time for any reason, no explanation needed. I will do my best to call for a break at least once per session, and if I forget to do that any of my players are free to call for a break as well.
