About the adventure
This campaign is heavily taken from the amazing series known as Midnight Tower that is now working on their last trilogy of adventures. There will be 5 trilogies in total as well as 5 mystery adventures and up to 9 one-shots sprinkled in depending on player choices and actions that I plan to be part of this campaign. It is said to go from level 1-15, however, with the extra content, as well as my own input and spin on things, it could go as high as 20. You and your party are headed to Buckbridge for a variety of possible reasons that I would let you decide during the session 0. It is being set in my world of Jacale Murlan in the country of Edrassa on the continent of Klavek. It being in my homebrew world will grant the benefit of all the extra content to go along with an already amazing series. When the party arrives at Buckbridge, a village in part of what is known as the Buckwild, they are given a few options for quests to earn a small amount of coin as they are asked by an archaeologist. This will spring the adventurers into a string of adventure sets and side adventures.

About me
My name is Anthony, and I LOVE being a GM. The first actual game that I was a part of was me trying to use the strategy guide for Final Fantasy Origins, the first game as Origins had 1 and 2, and convert it somewhat into a tabletop campiagn with my own spin on it. It actually went surprisingly well. I then did the same thing with Final Fantasy Tactics, which was more focused on placement and tactical combat. That turned out pretty good as well. Then some friends of mine, the ones who played my FF1 campaign, had me be a player for a 4e one shot. It was interesting, but it was odd to be on that side of the game. Then I tried to run a short adventure for 5e, as it was newer, and I haven't looked back since. The sheer enjoyment of being able to come up with things on the fly and react to whatever shenanganery that the players get into is exhilarating. The way I run my campaigns is mostly sandbox. I use a mix of 3rd party content, which I usually change up quite a bit to fit with the world better, and homebrew. There's some official content beyond SRD, but it is a small amount. Each campaign has a starting point at a different area in the world, and you get multiple hooks at the end for you to decide what you want to do and where you want to go. There are multiple adventure paths and sides to take and enemies to take down, but which you find and how you approach them are up to you and your decisions that can have small impacts or campaign spanning and changing consequences, be they good or bad.

Creating your character
I prefer that characters are created during sessoin 0 as that is the way to make sure that everyhting is in line with character creation rules. However, you are welcome to make one yourself beforehand. You simply wouldn't have access to my additional content for it, and edits might need to be made. Stats are an upgraded array of 17, 15, 13, 12, 10 and 8. Starting level is 1. If the campaign is ongoing when someone joins, they will be brought to the party level. Characters are created through shardtabletop.com, which is also the VTT and dice roller.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Webcams are not suggested or required, however, they are not banned if you wish to use one. You will need a Discord account as that is what is used for voice for the campaign as well as out-of-session discussion. You will need a shardtabletop.com account, but those are also free unless you want to pay for one. You do not need a paid account to gain access to all of my available content.
What DVDM brings to the table
I will be bringing my VTT and all of my content that is on it, which I am consistently expanding on. I do do some voice acting for NPCs. I am not professionally trained, but it is better than not doing them at all. I use a mix of Theatre of the Mind and Battle Maps, but almost the entirety of combat is done on Battle Maps. Theatre of the Mind is mostly reserved for out-of-combat RP and such. I'm working on the music side of it, but I'l a ways away from that, still. Combat can be highly tactical, but I base that on the group as a whole. I love running highly intesnse, and sometimes large scale battles with multiple possible success and failure states, but not all groups would work well with that. As far as RAW, RAI and Rule of Cool, a lot of that will be gone over in session 0.

How DVDM creates a safe table
I will go over the Safety Tool and Content Warnings during Session 0. X, N and O cards are on the VTT chat. Character creation will also happen during Session 0. If you cannot wait to make a character and want to import one you've made on a different site, then you may njeed to made edits to fit within the character creation rules. Also, I have a growing amount of character content, and you won't have access to it unless you go through a campaign link for the campaign. Different groups have different needs and desires, so going through them during Session 0 can put the campaign on the correct path for each player.
