About the adventure

Falanda’s harbor hums with coin by day and by night, the guards look away while people vanish into the alleys. You are bound to Falanda’s fate. Perhaps you’re an heir to a merchant house on the brink, a guild artisan with more pride than coin, a weary watchman, or a traveler who’s fallen in love with the city. Friends are vanishing, the Guard is bought, and a baitmaker trains orphans to steal for him. When the streets start swallowing people, you don’t get to look away. Playstyle – Urban intrigue, conspiracies, and investigation. – Roleplay-first PbP (play-by-post) with space for character depth. – Core only Anima Beyond Fantasy (Magic, Ki, Psychic). I’ll teach as we go new players welcome. Play-by-Post means steady progress and flexible timing. The investigation has just begun perfect timing to join.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character Creation Guidelines Characteristics (Stats) We’ll use Method 5 from the Game Master’s Toolkit: Each player has 55 points to distribute. Each characteristic must be at least 3 and no higher than 10. Raising a score from 9 → 10 costs 2 points instead of 1. Core Rules Everything besides characteristics will be built using the Anima: Beyond Fantasy Core Rulebook. Starting Point Characters begin at Level 1. Books in Use To keep things beginner-friendly, we’re sticking to the Core Rulebook for now. Additional books may be added later if the entire group agrees. Social Class: New Local Option In addition to the normal Social Class choices, you may select: Falanda Local Upper Class 150 GC at character creation (same as Minor Nobility) +5 GC at start Ongoing support: the equivalent of 2 GC per month while you reside in Falanda (housing, meals, or other family-backed comforts) Falanda’s old families are proud and practical. They keep their scions close, offering coin and comforts to ensure loyalty—and to make certain no one forgets where their fortunes come from.

What to expect

If you’d prefer not to handle character creation yourself, I’m happy to build a character with you.

What JustanotherST brings to the table

Anima is inherently character-driven, having goals is appreciated. I mostly follow the Rules as Written, but I prioritize narrative flow. If a rule gets in the way of a great moment, we’ll improvise and keep the story moving.

Homebrew rules

During combat should a player not post for 24 hours I will assume they act within the consensus of the group and roll dice for them.
