About the adventure

"Congratulations Dear Nephew/Niece/Etc Etc! I have, at this point, sadly passed away. But I have chosen you to be my heir! My land and my property are yours to live in and tend to. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors! I'm doing well myself. Well, I'm dead, but as you might imagine it's suiting me just fine. Come see your new home soon! Sincerely, Your Uncle/Aunt that you've never heard of." You arrive in the town of Graveshollow seeking a property that you were promised in a mysterious will. You find your new fields cluttered with garbage and your new home is… well it's not leaking. That's a plus. It clearly needs some hard work and renovations. But that's the least of your trouble. There's something wrong in Graveshollow. You feel watched at all times, your stuff keeps moving when you're not looking, and there's the vaguest scent of rot in the air. But it's, probably fine. After all, free land! Right? ❣️ Manage your land, transform it into a farm, ranch, hotel, anything! ❣️ Meet the mysterious residents of Graveshollow and learn their secrets! ❣️ There's definitely nothing wrong with this town. What? ❣️ Use unique character creation rules! ❣️ And More!

About me

Hello, my name is Pixels and I'm thrilled to provide a wonderful gaming experience for you. I've been gm-ing for nearly a decade, and am versed in a number of systems including Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition, Pathfinder 1st and 2nd editions, Starfinder 1st edition, Open Legend, Call of Cthulhu, Monster of the Week and Shadowrun. I tend to be a Rule of Cool gm, using Rules as Written as a base to allow for player creativity and problem solving. Not everything is allowed, but there's often a way to bend a rule to make for an amazing outcome. I look forward to telling a story with you!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation can happen before or during session 0, with stats being a set array of 18, 16, 14, 12, 12, 10. Your starting level will be 3. I'd prefer characters be created on roll20 for ease. You can use any wotc books that you'd like, and can use homebrew if you ask first.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a mic, a discord account, and a roll20 account. It would be appreciated if you could read the rules ahead of time, but of course if you have any questions during the course of play then I'd be glad to help you.

What 8bitpixelheart brings to the table

I try my best to do character voices, and use background music to provide a little extra immersion. My combat tends to be intense, but my goal is never to punish or kill my players. I like combat that makes you feel the rush of overcoming it. I like a balance of Rule of Cool and Rules as Written, as I believe this makes for the best experience.

Safety

How 8bitpixelheart creates a safe table

We'll go over lines and veils in session 0, although you are encouraged to message me whenever you would like. We do use digital versions of the X card system on roll20.
