About the adventure

This is a story about you. This campaign is designed around your characters and your backstories, following you throughout your heroic journey. As a group you’ll decide on what kind of campaign you’re looking for. Do you want to be swashbuckling pirates? Do you want a survival horror game? Do you want an epic race to godhood? We can do all that and more! I have a variety of homebrew worlds you can look into, or we can create a new world together. Or worlds! Character Creation Rules ❣️ You’ll start at Level 3 ❣️ Array will be 18, 16, 14, 12, 12, 10 ❣️ Plenty of homebrew rules to enhance your character building experience ❣️ Plus Quality of Life changes for most 2014 classes ❣️ You can choose between 2014 and 2024 classes, though for the most part we’ll be using 2014 rules.

About me

Hello, my name is Pixels and I'm thrilled to provide a wonderful gaming experience for you. I've been gm-ing for nearly a decade, and am versed in a number of systems including Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition, Pathfinder 1st and 2nd editions, Starfinder 1st edition, Open Legend, Call of Cthulhu, Monster of the Week and Shadowrun. I tend to be a Rule of Cool gm, using Rules as Written as a base to allow for player creativity and problem solving. Not everything is allowed, but there's often a way to bend a rule to make for an amazing outcome. I look forward to telling a story with you!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation can happen before or during session 0, with stats being a set array of 18, 16, 14, 12, 12, 10. Your starting level will be 3. I'd prefer characters be created on roll20 for ease. You can use any wotc books that you'd like, and can use homebrew if you ask first.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a mic, a discord account, and a roll20 account. It would be appreciated if you could read the rules ahead of time, but of course if you have any questions during the course of play then I'd be glad to help you.

What 8bitpixelheart brings to the table

I try my best to do character voices, and use background music to provide a little extra immersion. My combat tends to be intense, but my goal is never to punish or kill my players. I like combat that makes you feel the rush of overcoming it. I like a balance of Rule of Cool and Rules as Written, as I believe this makes for the best experience.

Safety

How 8bitpixelheart creates a safe table

We'll go over lines and veils in session 0, although you are encouraged to message me whenever you would like. We do use digital versions of the X card system on roll20.
