About the adventure

You’ve been gone for forty winters. The world has not waited. Deep within the forgotten corridors of a ruined dungeon, you awaken—not from sleep, but from stone. Petrified mid-battle and entombed by time, your name is no longer sung, your deeds all but erased. Now, a mysterious wizard offers you a second chance: fulfill a mission, earn your freedom, and reclaim your place in a world that has long moved on without you. Forty Silent Winters is a self-contained, story-driven one-shot. Expect dramatic moments, impactful choices, and a setting that blends emotional depth with dangerous encounters. This game is especially suited for players who enjoy light roleplay and tactical combat with a strong narrative core, whether you're a veteran explorer or just finding your dice legs. This adventure balances combat, exploration, and social interaction, with flexible space for personal character moments. You’ll visit places you once called home, see what remains of your legacy, and decide who you want to be with this second chance at life.

What Randy brings to the table

As a GM I like to keep my combat cinematic. For one-shots, I tend to focus on the story, but in longer adventures, I tend to focus on the Player's character arcs. We use the rules as guidelines, do whatever maximizes our fun.
