About the adventure

🍿 Do you like adventure movies? 🤠 Do you find yourself whistling along to the Indiana Jones theme whenever you hear it? 🪤 Have you ever wondered if you'd be able to switch the golden idol with the bag sand, or if you could avoid rolling boulders or pointy traps? 🕶️ Then OUTGUNNED ADVENTURE is for you! OUTGUNNED is an award-winning indie gem from the fantastic team at Two Little Mice (who also published the renown "Household" and "Memento Mori"), and OUTGUNNED ADVENTURE is a standalone expansion focused on pulp adventure, like Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, Uncharted and so forth! The focus of the whole game is to recreate those cinematic experiences. It's easy to pick up, very dynamic and hilariously fun! Frozen Legacy is a short introductory scenario that should take no more than two sessions. You'll play as adventurers looking for the lost resting place of an ancient Viking, Erik the Red! If you are ready to find the Treasure, then hurry along! Adventure awaits you!

About me

🇬🇧 Hi! I'm Andrea, spawn of '89, from Italy. I would be honoured to be your storyteller (or "cantastorie", story-singer in Italian), and to craft together wondrous tales worth remembering! I am a professional computer games designer, which gives me an edge in crafting fantastic game experiences in general. My career in games is a natural evolution of my long love story with tabletop and live roleplaying games. I've plaid roleplaying games since I was 15, and in 2024 I started to go a bit more "professional" by organising games for kids and adults with a local community in my city. I'm here on StartPlaying to share my love for the hobby even more, refine my skills, and, of course, to have a blast! ------- 🇮🇹 Ciao!

Andrea is a superb GM who I highly recommend. He creates evocative settings, believable NPCs, and compelling stories. He weaves character backgrounds into his story and narrates dice rolls so they become part of the drama. He actively encourages good roleplay and player/character input into the story. He seems to be delighted when we surprise him. He also knows the rules well and how to use those rules to enrich the story - without being rule-bound: story and roleplay are still the focus that the rules support. Andrea also explains those rules well. When he runs a prewritten scenario, he makes it his own, and when he designs his own scenario, it's worthy of publication. I've been playing since the 70s, and Andrea is one of the finest GMs I have ever had the privilege of playing with.

I had a great time with Andrea playing Outgunned! He was really on top of both the game rules and the Alchemy software, and blended a fun adventure with teaching both of those to a bunch of newbies.

Andrea is an incredibly skilled Game Master who excels at encouraging player creativity and storytelling. Since I was relatively new to the system we played, I really appreciated how Andrea guided us through the rules in a way that kept the game engaging and fun. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I can definitely recommend booking a game with him! 😊

We contacted Andrea to ask if he could help us with a game we had had in mind for quite some time, and I'm so happy we did! We have been playing a Vampire The Masquerade campaign and it has already been a wonderful experience (even if we are just a few sessions in). Andrea is very inclusive and friendly while chatting and is extremely professional in his world-building, mood-setting, and storytelling. I recommend him enthusiastically!

Andrea offers a fantastic RPG experience, especially for beginners. The audio/visual support is top-notch and truly immersive. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun, engaging, and stress-free VTT adventure!

I like to watch this gamemaster performing with his enthousiastic body language and a fitting background behind him. He can really blend a new player character in an ongoing campaign and group. I always will remember this wonderful introduction of my player character and roleplaying opportunities in the start of my first game of that campaign. The gamemaster always makes a lot of effort to narrate each dice roll to its best effect.

Character creation
Creating your character

The adventure comes with four premade characters. I will link these to you when you join the game here on Start Playing, and the link will be pinned on the Discord channel so it's always available. However, making characters is super easy, and if you want to change them or create your own let me know!

What to expect
Preparing for the session

I will give a link to the Quickstart rules of the game and to the four premade characters. Checking these out before the first session is strongly encouraged! You'll need to create an account on the Forge VTT platform. You'll need a decent microphone and internet connection. The use of the webcam is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged!

What Andrea the Italian Storyteller brings to the table

The game is going to be hosted on the Forge VTT platform, so you should make an account there! I would also be happy if you joined Cortestoria, my (still quite new!) Discord Server where we can come together before session day to chat and organise, and where you can meet other Outgunned players and get news of the games I organise!

Safety
How Andrea the Italian Storyteller creates a safe table

The adventure is based around the usual tropes of pulp adventure movies. There ARE going to be gunfights, traps, explosions and similar high-tension things. The game will be quirky and lighthearted, but if the themes before are triggering for you, unfortunately I think you'd not enjoy the game in general. Before the first actual play session, I will share with each of you a copy of the Monte Cook Consent Checklist, so you can make me aware with more specific problematic content that is triggering for you. I will then make sure to adapt the adventure so that it is enjoyable for everyone!
