About the adventure
An intro one-shot to the D&D Curse of Strahd campaign. The player characters will start out in the domain of Barovia. Then travel to the Village of Barovia, where Castle Ravenloft can be seen in the distance. Note: this isn't Death House. This session is geared towards brand new and beginner D&D players . Experienced players looking for combat⚔️ and/or Strahd/Ravenloft/Gothic setting may also be interested. Rules used: D&D Free Basic Rules 2024 Pre-generated first level martial class characters are selected by the players when the game starts. There's a halfling rogue🔓, human & orc monk🥋, dwarf & dragonborn tank🛡️, human & goliath barbarian💪 and human archer🏹. There may be multiples of the above same class/species to pick from, basically the token art just differs. You can also create your own character via the Roll20 game link before the session begins. D&D Beyond with the Beyond20 extension may also be used. Character creation guidelines: Abilities scores: roll your own, point buy, whatever... Pick one species: dragonborn, dwarf, goliath, halfling, human or orc. Pick one class: barbarian, fighter, monk or rogue. I'm an open rolls🎲 Dungeon Master, bad guy rolls are public.

Creating your character
Pre-generated characters will be selected by the players when the game starts. No character creation or session zero needed. Players just show up in Discord at game time and we start playing.🎲 If you create you own character just follow the guidelines above for species and class.
This was originally an intro one shot to the Curse of Strahd campaign, but has developed into a mini Curse of Strahd campaign. This will be session 2, with a finale the following week. Help the party defeat Strahd, you'll start at 2nd level.
