About the adventure

This campaign can be for seasoned or novice dungeon and dragons players. The campaign focuses on learning the plans of the cult of dragon and working to thwart those the plans before it is too late. I DM using the rules, but am not so strict to prevent fun and narrative driven play. As long as the party is having fun everyone is winning. Characters can die and then players can roll a new character. I also love to pull in character backstories to make players feel like their characters matter and create emotional buy in to the campaign.

About me

I love roll playing games, but finding a good DM was hard so I became one. Mid to long running campaigns are preferred and I tend to create non-traditional games. If you are looking for a great time that is organized; well give me a try.

Creating your character

As long as characters align with DND source rule books any method is fine.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A session zero can be held if that is what the group wants. I don't charge for session zero if the group needs to meet and make sure its a good fit. I use discord and roll20 to run the game with battle maps. I have a discord server I will provide and roll20 links as well.

What Nathaniel brings to the table

I am very flexible and lean toward following the narrative the players are creating over sticking strictly to every rule. I don't do voices or have music, but put a lot of effort into the game. I will provide a portion of the adventure hook for characters to build into their backstories but enjoy building character backstories into the campaign. The more details in your character backstory the more fun we can have weaving it into the plot of the campaign.

Homebrew rules

There is no homebrew in this campaign at the outset. If there are requests from the group you want me to consider we can discuss those.

Safety

How Nathaniel creates a safe table

I request any players to send me any triggers or topics/items to avoid in the campaign. I honor these request. I also provide the Monte Cook consent checklist for players to fill out to assist in providing any triggers/topics I need to avoid. I do not put in sensitive content into the campaign. Any roll play that starts to lean into sensitive topics will either be redirected or a fade to black scene skip.
