About me

5th Edition DM for 11 Years - now picking up & running D&D2024. Veteran of a thousand sessions (give or take) & dozens of campaigns. Specialising in high-roleplay, theatrical games. Love in-person sessions, but a pro at running Roll20 games - fast, fun, flexible. Build worlds, explore characters & create new stories.

Character creation

Creating your character

Choose from one of 20 pre-made characters. With stats, classes & equipment already built! You choose their name, appearance, personality & backstory (or make it up as we play!) All characters will be easy to use & understand. All players will be required to use a pre-built stat block. This is for expediency, balance & guaranteed easy, laid-back fun. If the campaign continues after the 3rd session - new options, including homebrew & unlimited character changes will be made available to continuing players. Pending DM approval ofcourse! If you wish to learn about creating characters & how your character works - this will be built in to the sessions. Learn as you play! For these beginner-friendly sessions there will be strictly no PVP interactions & characters must not be overtly 'Evil'. No overly-explicit content will feature - the same is expected of players.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Roll20 will be used to play the game & roll dice. While Google Meet will be used for voice & OPTIONAL camera. The DM (Me) will appear with their camera. Players may choose at any time to be on or off camera as they prefer. Google Meet is used because it is fast, accessible & reliable. Please have a Roll20 account & a tested microphone ready to use. Players will receive links to the Roll20 Game and Google Meeting 4 hours before play begins! Players may arrive up to 15 minutes early to discuss their characters, backstory or the upcoming session!

What Tiny Raptor brings to the table

Fast, flexible & fun-focussed DM. Bring characters to life with theatre - voices, European accents & a little extra flavour. Get out what you put in - will respond with Roleplay to players who seek it. If you're looking for a fight, you'll get plenty of combat. I keep the game fast, breezy & never get bogged down. Production values tend to be low - instead I make the show with a little extra theatre in my performances. Just enjoy the ride, no wrong answers!

Homebrew rules

No homebrew rules will be used for these new-player friendly sessions. I will make rulings in the game as they make sense, but am always sure to explain rules & rulings as needed. As well as happy to answer and clarify any questions from players.

Safety

How Tiny Raptor creates a safe table

Content will be fairly tame - aside from the expected combat descriptions I avoid any topics or descriptions that would be too confronting. Players at any time can, no questions ask, indicate they feel uncomfortable. They don't have to express this verbally. Signals for this will be covered during the first session - with reminders at the top of each session. After-session feedback can be collected with guaranteed anonymity about player-player feedback. I may occasionally curse - this is a medical condition caused by my Australian Heritage.
