About me

This is Old-School! Hi, I'm Jay and I run pretty good games, usually something released in the early days of the hobby. I find a firm grip on the genre being run has more of an impact then system does overall. My games are going to appeal to players looking to interact with their fellow players around the table, and roll real dice out their hands. I will bring quality adventures built on the best stuff available. I deliver living game worlds for the following genres - Pulp Sword & Sorcery, Age of Sail, Supernatural Horror, Gritty Sci-Fi, Dying Earth Fantasy, Space Opera, and Contemporary Super Heroes. Original content supported by published materials and unique adventure content. World-wide time zone scheduling available (US Based)

Character creation

Creating your character

Character Creation will be done as a group in Session Zero. Here you will be introduced to the Trojan Reach. Law enforcement, first contact, piracy, conquest and war. All is on the table. Everything can be done. Mongoose Traveller is a simple toolbox capable of handling any type of science fiction fantasy one cares to play.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a webcam and mic to interact with your fellow players. Theater of the Mind, Old School play works best with personal interaction with your fellow players. Prepare to interact with your game universe, not a game board!

What Vanishing Tower Play brings to the table

Vanishing Tower Play has a discord server where you can find official character sheets and relevant game information. Character creation will be conducted during Session Zero, where players gather and craft their galactic team of adventurers. Explore the unknown anomaly, defend the colony against alien hordes, uphold the peace and hunt down dangerous enhanced entities, turn back the tide of corporate corruption, or tap into dark powers and bring the universe to heel... All these opportunities await in the Outer Frontier.

Safety

How Vanishing Tower Play creates a safe table

Old Terra is the birthplace of interstellar travel and gave rise to the irresistible human tide which reached out into worlds without number. For more than 3,000 years networks of people across the black gulf have been pursuing new worlds to conquer, forgetting, eventually, the planets left behind. Only the long finger of the Federation makes the past, and the power the past represents, material across the parsecs of inhabited space.
