About the adventure

You are approached in the middle of combat. Your breath is heavy, you are sweating, blood is crusting at your hairline. Bodies fall around you for better and for worse. And when all is done, footsteps approach you. At your side, a stranger. No, not a stranger. You know them, in one way or another. One of the gods holds out a hand to you. “Be my Champion.” The Cult of Mirrors threatens the planet of Virae, as reality begins to blend together and melt. Everything hangs on a thread, and only the champions stand a chance of stopping it. Only you do. You must travel throughout Virae, unwinding the secrets of the Cult and the powers behind it. There are monsters to fight, mysteries to solve, and loot to gather. ❣️ Start at level 6; level 3 in two different classes. ❣️ Level from 6 to 40! ❣️ Array will be 18, 16, 14, 12, 12, 10 ❣️ You’ll have a bonus feat if you don’t start with one otherwise ❣️ You’ll have an uncommon magic item from your backstory ❣️ Plus Quality of Life changes for most 2014 classes ❣️ You can choose between 2014 and 2024 classes, though for the most part we’ll be using 2014 rules.

About me

Hello, my name is Pixels and I'm thrilled to provide a wonderful gaming experience for you. I've been gm-ing for nearly a decade, and am versed in a number of systems including Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition, Pathfinder 1st and 2nd editions, Starfinder 1st edition, Open Legend, Call of Cthulhu, Monster of the Week and Shadowrun. I tend to be a Rule of Cool gm, using Rules as Written as a base to allow for player creativity and problem solving. Not everything is allowed, but there's often a way to bend a rule to make for an amazing outcome. I look forward to telling a story with you!

Character creation
Creating your character

We will create characters during session 0. Stats are a predetermined array, there is a rules document with the full rules for the game. The starting level will be 6, with three levels into one class and three levels into another. Characters should be made on roll20, and can use any book printed by wotc. Homebrew allowed, but you have to let me read it first.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

You will need a discord account, and a roll20 account. I would prefer if you read the rules ahead of time. Having a backstory before session 0 would be great.

What 8bitpixelheart brings to the table

I will be providing my compendium, and third party supplements. There will also be maps sourced from creators I support on patreon, as well as the occasional map that I create in Dungeondraft. I tend to try to do voices, and I run fairly tactical combat.
