About the adventure

"One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them; In the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie." - Join a Fellowship! - Explore Middle Earth! - Face the threat of growing Shadow! - Take up arms against the threat of Mordor! With adventures set between the events of 'The Hobbit' and 'Lord of the Rings', you are uniquely placed to protect the lands of Men, Elves, Dwarves, and Hobbits from the trouble growing in the East. You will adventure through locations from the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, from The Shire and the Grey Havens to Rivendell and Moria - maybe even as far as the lost lands of Angmar in the North... What legends will grow from your tales and what allies will you make as we await the movement of The One Ring? "Ben is a really great GM. They do a great job making sure everyone at the table feels safe and comfterble. They're super patient with teaching people the rules while also keeping the game flowing nicely and they do great voices! Highly recommended!"

About me

Hi, I'm Ben, a former teacher turned mentor and coach from the UK. I've taught hundreds of players dozens of games over my time in education and coaching, played on streams and in podcasts and run games on 3/5 continents. I'm a published writer of TTRPG games and content, part time voice actor and I've studied gaming as a tool for therapy, progress, and development. Please check out my reviews to see what others have to say about me, and try out one of my games to see for yourself!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a computer, connection to Discord and Roll20 and you should definitely read or watch some Lord of the Rings goodness - purely for research purposes, of course...

What Ben brings to the table

Discord, Roll20, rules, books, maps and just so, so many quotes. For real. Also accents. I'll bring those. LOTS of those!

How Ben creates a safe table

As with all my games - content warnings are ONLY for POSSIBLE in-game concepts - in this case, for instance, the race and prejudice issues are between Elves and Dwarves, Men and Orcs NEVER for out-of-character events. Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, and Transphobia are never welcome at my tables. You can expect anything that you might have seen within 'The Hobbit', 'Lord of the Rings' or 'Rings of Power' in terms of content that may appear. Expect plenty of roleplaying, engaging scenes, and vivid characters, inspired by the work of Tolkien. I promise not to sing at you. Probably.
