About the adventure

Season of Ghosts is a four part adventure with themes of far eastern storytelling and folklore. Expect eerie monsters and situations while you piece together the mystery of the curse placed on the remote logging town of Willowshore. Protect the town, get to know your neighbors, and maybe discover some of their secrets while you search for a way to dispel the curse. The adventure is well suited to both new and experienced players, so all are welcome to join.

About me

Hi! I'm Cloud Draxie, GM, artist, and overall tabletop and board game enthusiast. As a GM and as player, I value the fun of everyone at the table and support the cooperative nature of TTRPGs. I require my entire table to be LGBTQ+ friendly. I also require that the party be a team in and out of character, meaning there is normally no PvP or stealing from other PCs in my games. My main games are Pathfinder 2nd edition and Upwind, but I like to learn and try out new games too. I enjoy telling stories with my players and challenging them with tough but winnable encounters. I learned game master largely in online settings, so I am quite comfortable running sessions over voice chat and on virtual tabletops, namely Discord and Foundry VTT. Because I always like to have a unique representation of my own characters and understand that some of my players feel the same, I can offer to draw personal little portraits to be used as player tokens in my games that last more than a few sessions.

I was scared since it was my first game and english isn't my first language. At my request, they explained and answered my questions perfectly when we meet up before the game to check my character and other unrelated questions i had. The one shot was super fun ! There never was a dead moment. They knew the perfect balance between letting us roleplay and progressing the story.

Very knowledgeable GM, put together a fun and fast-moving game. Lots of useful Foundry modules to keep the game focused on gameplay and not technical issues. The GM took cues from the players and let encounters play out we attempted (when the dice allowed) even when it went a bit astray of what the module might normally do. Adjusted the encounters well for our party size so encounters were challenging but not outright brutality. Overall lots of fun, highly recommended.

It's a blast to play with Cloud Draxie. They are ever so relaxed and bring a good ambience to the game. Their knowledge is impressive, with lots of the 3d party stuff and alternative rules being acceptable. I picked Cloud because I was new to PF2 and wanted someone who could teach me the game while playing. And boy do they deliver! Very beginner friendly without being pedantic and without making you feel like a fool. Only possible downside is that we play without video of eachother (there is of course Foundry VTT - on their own server), but other then that a superb GM.

Cloud is an excellent GM! They know the rules very well and are just incredibly kind and patient! 10/10, would recommend!

Character creation
Creating your character

Characters start at 1st level using standard character creation rules. Options, especially backgrounds, from the player's guide are encouraged. I strongly recommend players read this guide before working on a character. The Tian Xia Character Guide may be useful to players as well. Third party options are available.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

Discord will be used for voice chat and as the primary way to communicate outside of sessions. The server will be hosted on Forge. I suggest players talk with each other and organize the party before deciding on character options. I highly suggest that players do not look up information about this campaign or the events/places surrounding it to avoid spoiling it for themselves or other players. Players aware of the events surrounding this adventure are still welcome, but you must let others experience it how they would like. The player's guide and Tian Xia Character and World Guides provides all the information you need about Willowshore and Tian Xia.

What Cloud Draxie brings to the table

I will provide all the VTT, maps, music, and various materials needed to play. I try to balance RP and combat as the party prefers. I also balance combat to show off the strength of characters while using challenging encounters to test player strategies. I default to Rules as Written/Intended unless a specific rule gets in the way.

Homebrew rules

Variant rules will be discussed before the first session. Typically I run games with Free Archetype, but with thematic restrictions.
