About the adventure
Stormcaller’s Fang has gone missing, and the gods are ready to go to war over it. You’ve been chosen to recover the relic and stop the conflict—but nothing is as it seems. The real thief is still out there, the gods are being deceived, and you're about to find yourself caught in something much bigger than divine politics. Wrath of the Tempest is a custom, story-rich D&D 5e campaign that blends mythic fantasy, divine intrigue, and a slow-burn mystery. Over the course of the adventure, you’ll explore haunted ruins, navigate divine rivalries, confront corrupted champions, and make decisions that could sway the gods themselves. The tone is heroic but morally complex—perfect for players who enjoy character-driven drama, tense decisions, and uncovering hidden truths. This campaign is beginner-friendly! I welcome both brand-new players and seasoned adventurers. If you’re new to D&D or tabletop roleplaying, I’ll guide you through everything you need to know—rules, rolls, and roleplay included. All you need is a sense of curiosity, a mic, and a character idea (or I can help with that too). We’ll use theater-of-the-mind for roleplay and a virtual battle map for combat. Each session is a balance of exploration, social scenes, and exciting tactical encounters. Expect moments of humor, awe, and maybe a few gut punches along the way.

About me
Hello! I’ve been running D&D 5e for about five years and specialize in welcoming new players into the game. I run a D&D club for teenagers and also run engaging, story-driven campaigns for adults of all experience levels. My games tend to be roleplay-heavy, with a focus on character choices, strong NPCs, and immersive storytelling. I also love running combat and keep encounters dynamic and characterful by fully inhabiting the creatures and giving each fight meaning. If you’re the kind of player who wants your backstory to matter, I’m great at weaving player ideas into the world while keeping things focused on the main story and whatever the party finds most exciting. Whether you're brand new or returning after a long break, I'm excited to help you feel at home at the table.

Creating your character
Characters will start at Level 1 using point buy for stats. You’re welcome to create your character ahead of Session 0, come with just a concept and build it together, or show up with no idea at all—we’ll make it work! We’ll go over expectations, house rules (if any), and party composition in Session 0. You can use any official 5e sourcebooks, and characters should be created on D&D Beyond. I’m happy to help you choose options that fit the world and story if you want guidance. Whether you're new to character creation or have 10 builds ready to go, you're welcome here.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You’ll need a working mic, and a webcam is preferred (but not required). We’ll be playing on Roll20, so you’ll need a free Roll20 account. If you haven’t used it before, no worries—I’m happy to walk you through setup during Session 0. Characters should be created on D&D Beyond, which we’ll use for character sheets. If you don’t have an account yet, we’ll cover that during onboarding too. No other tools or experience required—just show up ready to play!
What Allie brings to the table
I bring a polished, original campaign full of divine intrigue, custom maps, story-driven encounters, and character-focused roleplay. I have a background in theatre, so I love getting into character and doing distinct voices—though I won’t pretend I’m Matt Mercer! Expect expressive NPCs, meaningful player choices, and scenes that give your character a chance to shine. Combat will be tactical and clear, but not bogged down—I aim for pacing that keeps things exciting. I follow the rules closely enough to keep things fair, but I also reward creativity. If you can think of something clever that fits the spirit of the rules, I’m ready to run with it. Whether you're here to unravel a divine mystery, try something bold in battle, or just have fun playing someone you're not, I’m here to help make that happen.
Homebrew rules
I use a few light homebrew rules to keep things cinematic, flexible, and player-friendly: Potions can be used as a bonus action (when drinking them yourself) Resurrection requires a ritual rather than just casting a spell—death has meaning, and bringing someone back involves roleplay Leveling is milestone-based, not XP-based Flanking provides advantage (Roll20 setting enabled) Speech during combat is loose—say what you need, but if it starts turning into a monologue, I’ll rein it in Encumbrance is relaxed—we only track it if you're trying to carry something clearly ridiculous The Help action can be used creatively, as long as it makes sense in context (no helping with Insight or Perception when your character wouldn’t reasonably be aware) I follow the rules closely enough to keep things fair, but I’m not afraid to bend them a bit for a good idea, dramatic moment, or clever plan.

Safety
How Allie creates a safe table
Player comfort and consent matter. During Session 0, we’ll talk through basic safety expectations using Lines & Veils and the X-Card (which can be used verbally or via chat). If anything comes up that makes you uncomfortable—before, during, or after a session—you can always message me privately. I want this to be a space where everyone feels respected, included, and excited to tell a great story together.
