About me

My table is a safe, inclusive place where we imagine together. I've run and played too many TTRPG systems to list. I've run successful multi-year campaigns, some in game systems I designed from scratch. I'm also a writer! To get a sense for my style and the stories I tell, you can read my stuff for free at ... http://patreon.com/Greymorn

Character creation

Creating your character

Create your 1st level character ahead of time. You will need a free account on Roll20. **All character sheets must be in Roll20, we do not use dnbeyond.** We can discuss character choices and group composition via Discord. We are using the 2014 rules only.

The current party

We will work out characters on Discord before the first session. All sheets must be in Roll20, we do not use dndbeyond.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

* Camera not required. * Good mic and speakers are essential. * A stable Internet connection * A free account with these websites/tools: - Discord.com (planning) - Roll20.net (rolling dice, battle maps) Message me any time here or find greymorn978 on Discord.

What Greymorn brings to the table

* Decades of experience running TTRPGs, including old school hex crawl campaigns. I get the most out of this style of game. * A passion for storytelling, creativity and imagination. * Decades of experience designing games and adventures. Play a unique adventure you won't find anywhere else.

Homebrew rules

- Start at the bottom at lv 1 with just the clothes on your back, washed up on shore. Maybe you saved one key item: a dagger, holy symbol, thieves tools or a casting focus. - XP to level up. Earn XP fighting monsters, certain achievements or spend gold with an NPC trainer. - Darkvision RAW ... it isn't nearly as omnipotent as many people think. The dark is still scary. - Exhaustion and encumbrance. How are you carrying a halberd, a 10' pole and a greatsword, exactly? - Unless you're in a safe space surrounded by allies, you will fail to long rest as often as you succeed. Set a watch!, - Perma-death. Unless you have diamonds and a cleric who can revivify, be ready to roll up a new 1st level PC. There were plenty of shipwreck survivors.
