About the adventure
The City of Splendors hums with life: bustling markets, grand festivals, shady back-alley deals, and whispers of a hidden fortune. Lord Neverember’s stolen cache of gold is rumored to lie somewhere beneath the cobblestones, and now every guild, noble, thief, and monster wants a piece of it. Where do you fit in? A noble scion fallen from grace? A sellsword with a code? A rogue playing all sides? This is an urban adventure filled with political intrigue, deadly secrets, and unpredictable twists. Your choices shape how the factions of Waterdeep respond to you—and whether they see you as an ally, a threat, or a useful pawn. Will you scheme with the Zhentarim, bargain with the Harpers, or carve your own path through the city’s underworld? Are you ready to chase dragons in the heart of a city where danger wears a velvet glove? Gather your crew, sharpen your wits, and prepare for the heist of a lifetime.

Meet the Game Master
About me
My love for tabletop RPGs started when I was a kid, watching my older brother and his friends weave unpredictable, collaborative stories around the table. That sense of shared imagination stuck with me. Decades of playing D&D later, I decided to start GMing professionally. As a GM, I focus on creativity, immersion, and collaboration. I love taking player ideas and choices and weaving them into the story, often in unexpected ways (yes, I do enjoy a good twist or betrayal). My sessions are mostly theater of the mind, with maps reserved for combat, and I aim to create a comfortable, inclusive space where roleplay-focused players can really shine. Players describe me as patient, friendly, and relaxed. I welcome slower-paced storytelling that gives characters room to breathe and grow. I also stream my games on Twitch, though the focus always stays on the players and the story—we're here to have fun, not perform. I use simple safety tools and check in regularly to make sure everyone feels good about where the game is going. If you’re looking for a GM who values immersion, creativity, and a collaborative vibe, I’d love to roll some dice with you.

Creating your character
Character creation will be a collaborative process between you, me, and the rest of the group during the first session. Feel free to bring any character ideas you’re excited about, but please be open to adjusting them for the sake of party/story cohesion.
The party have been tasked with locating Volothamp Geddarm's kidnapped friend - Floon Blagmaar. A lead has led them into a hideout in the sewers, owned by the crime lord Xanathar. They have found Floon, but they've also found a mind flayer...can you help them survive? The party consists of: - Dorian Cole, a fire genasi Warlock. - Rafeek Fieldstrider, a halfling Wizard. - Renny Walker, a human Rogue. - Rowan Ashvale, a dhampir Fighter.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
In addition to having a webcam, microphone, and headphones, you’ll need: - A web browser (ideally on a PC or laptop) - A private space, free from interruptions or distractions - Consistent availability most Sundays at the scheduled time We’ll be using Roll20 for combat and character sheet management, so please create a free account in advance. The first time you launch a game, Roll20 runs a short tutorial — I highly recommend going through it. For video and voice during sessions, we’ll use Discord.
What Kade brings to the table

How Kade creates a safe table
There will be a Session Zero where we’ll take time to get to know each other as players and discuss any boundaries, lines, or limitations before the game begins. Breaks will be taken as needed, and players are always free to step away from the table at any time if they feel uncomfortable — no explanation required.
