About the adventure
Welcome to Waterdeep, a bustling metropolis where wealth and danger walk hand-in-hand. Somewhere within the city’s cobblestone streets and shadowed alleys lies the stolen treasure of Neverember — and powerful factions are scrambling to claim it. Will you befriend spies and nobles, outwit criminals, or carve your own path through Waterdeep’s murky politics? This is the official Waterdeep: Dragon Heist campaign for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (Levels 1–5). The story blends roleplay, investigation, faction tension, and combat in an urban fantasy setting. Prior sessions have already built a core party and launched the plot — perfect for new players to jump in now and make an impact.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I’m a Dungeon Master who loves thoughtful roleplay, collaborative storytelling, and giving players the space to let their characters breathe. My tables are welcoming, patient, and focused on creating memorable moments rather than rushing to the next combat. I primarily run official D&D 5e modules, with a special fondness for Lost Mine of Phandelver and Waterdeep: Dragon Heist. I enjoy taking these published adventures and enriching them with character-driven storylines, meaningful NPC interactions, and a steady, immersive pace that rewards curiosity and roleplay. In addition to my private games, I also GM an actual play series on YouTube, which has helped me sharpen my table presence, rules clarity, and ability to keep the game engaging while spotlighting every player. Whether you’re new to D&D or a seasoned adventurer looking for a calmer, story-focused experience, my goal is to make sure everyone feels heard, supported, and excited to return each session.

Creating your character
Character creation will be a collaborative process between you, me, and the rest of the group during the first session. Feel free to bring any character ideas you’re excited about, but please be open to adjusting them for the sake of party/story cohesion.
We currently have 4 players and are looking for 1–2 more to round out the party. You’ll join a group already invested in the plot — a great opportunity for new and returning players alike. The Party: - Renny, a shady human rogue with a good heart but isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty. - Rafeeq, a jolly halfling wizard chef who wants to open a magical bakery with the gold from this job. - Rowan, a mysterious dhampir noble fighter who is fighting against his new dark urges. - Seb, a lucky little human cleric who wants to hunt down and eliminate Beshaba assassins.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
In addition to having a webcam, microphone, and headphones, you’ll need: - A web browser (ideally on a PC or laptop) - A private space, free from interruptions or distractions - Consistent availability most Sundays at the scheduled time We’ll be using Roll20 for combat and character sheet management, so please create a free account in advance. The first time you launch a game, Roll20 runs a short tutorial — I highly recommend going through it. For video and voice during sessions, we’ll use Discord.
What Kade brings to the table
Consistency, as well as a Roll20 server with a mixture of official and artificial maps, tokens, handouts, etc. Also background music to set the mood and access to the 2024 PHB.

How Kade creates a safe table
There will be a Session Zero where we’ll take time to get to know each other as players and discuss any boundaries, lines, or limitations before the game begins. Breaks will be taken as needed, and players are always free to step away from the table at any time if they feel uncomfortable — no explanation required.
