About the adventure

One Piece: Justice on the High Seas – A Marine Campaign The seas are wild, lawless, and filled with those who would prey on the innocent. Pirates run rampant, revolutionaries spread chaos, and dangerous creatures lurk beneath the waves. But you are not a pirate. You are not a rebel. You are a Marine—sworn to uphold justice, protect the weak, and bring order to the Grand Line. Whether you believe in Absolute Justice, Moral Justice, or something in between, one thing is certain: the world is counting on you. In this One Piece tabletop RPG campaign, you and your fellow players will take on the roles of Marines, rising through the ranks as you chase down criminals, clash with infamous pirate crews, and uncover conspiracies that threaten the World Government itself. Your journey will take you from bustling Marine bases to lawless islands, from towering prisons to the heart of the Grand Line’s greatest mysteries. Will you be a noble protector of peace, or will the line between justice and tyranny blur in the face of your duty? We'll be using a homebrew system designed specifically to capture the power scaling and epic battles of One Piece. Expect abilities that grow with you, larger-than-life clashes, and the chance to develop your own unique combat style—whether it’s mastering Rokushiki, wielding a cursed blade, or unlocking the secrets of a Devil Fruit. The system is built for over-the-top action and rewarding creativity, ensuring that every player can carve out their own legend in the world of One Piece. This game is perfect for fans of One Piece who want to explore the world from a Marine’s perspective. Expect high-energy battles, intense moral dilemmas, and plenty of room for creative anime-style combat. Whether you’re new to tabletop RPGs or a veteran roleplayer, this adventure will throw you into the heart of the action, where your decisions will shape the future of the seas. Justice is yours to define—how will you enforce it?

About me

Hello TTRPG enthusiasts, jocks, nerds and all people alike, my name's Nunzi and it's a pleasure to get to know you all! I've been playing D&D 5E and a couple other systems for the past 5-6 years, I've taken the role of the eternal Dungeon Master around 1 year ago. I'm a very enthusiastic DM and love to try out new things. I'm Portuguese, so expect that the NPCs end up with a little bit of an accent - if you're expecting an hispanic accent, I can emmulate it but it's not my actual accent! I've slowly fallen in love with D&D, it made me try to frequent theater clubs and explore the creative side of being a nerd - I'm an engineer by the way. My players have been having a great time and I'm always eager to learn more from other people! I DM for two different systems: D&D 5E - Mostly homebrewed games in the world of One Piece, Isekai like games, Zombie apocalypse, Bloodborne and also some official modules: Curse of Strahd (my favourite). CyberpunkRED - Most of it is homebrewed, but I've been having a blast with the Edgerunners adventure module! I hope you consider me to be your DM and let's go explore new worlds together!

Character creation

Creating your character

For character creation I like to emphasize a somewhat different way of doing it, but let's attack the basics first. If you wish to play a custom third party class, that would be handled through a google doc sheet and imported to Roll20 by me. Otherwise, just create your character directly in Roll20. The homebrew handbook that we'll be using will be given to you at the start of session 0. For stats, the method is quite simple. Our group will have at most 5 people, each person rolls 2d6+6 and I'll roll the last one. This will give us a complete array, then we repeat the process, and the group picks which array they prefer. Everyone will have the same rolled array.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should have a: - Discord account and be willing to chat and join a discord group. - A working mic and hopefully a quiet place to speak, or you can use push to talk. - Stable internet - A free Roll20 account. - Webcam (Optional)

What Nunzi brings to the table

- Will be recycling some maps, but making sure to create some new ones too. Expect a healthy mixture of theater of the mind with strategic battle maps. - Completely homebrew system, classes and devil fruit + haki mechanics compacted into a concise file. Easy to understand. - Custom tokens for each of the player characters so that they can stand out from any other and to give that main character feel. - Private discord where you're free to discuss anything campaign based, together with some possible text roleplay during downtime (in between sessions). Leading to a more dynamic experience. - Always attempt to build the right atmosphere with the correct music, boss themes, battle songs and obviously will allow character to pick their own theme songs.
