Meet the Game Master
About me
I'm a more roleplay heavy GM who enjoys creating stories with my players. I do my best to make challenging dungeons and well defined worlds that players can get lost in. I'm passionate about Dungeons and Dragons but am expanding into other systems as well. I started as a player in 3.5 dnd and have grown a bit from there over time. I enjoy making things fun for my players and hope I can do so for all of them.

Creating your character
Once we get a chance to talk in private messages, we'll go over my rules for character creation. The process can be done in Foundry or in D&D Beyond and approved by me. Feel free to bounce ideas with me. I enjoy helping players come up with characters.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
What you'll need for this game is a working mic/headset and a discord account. I do all the voice calls through discord as it is the most stable. You will need to create a character that I approve for the game. You can build the sheet with me in foundry or use D&DBeyond.
What Lunar Phoenix GM brings to the table
Game Style: Roleplay heavy but strive to balance it, where I can, with challenging combat and dungeons. You’ll be running around a land overtaken by mist and monsters so get ready for that. Rule of Cool and creative thinking for problems is more than encouraged to get you out of a tight spot. The foundry server will be provided as the VTT to play in, give out handouts and use other effects. Music will be streamed via watch together. I use my voice to do NPC voices. The discord server will also be provided by me. All handouts will be sent both in foundry and in discord for the players to have access to outside of game time.
Homebrew rules
Healing potions are a bonus action to drink for yourself, use of Brutal Critical Hits (i.e. having the player roll normal damage and then adding the maximum possible damage on top for a more impactful hit), Critical success and fumble table used in order to spice up combat, modified flanking rules (+2 to hit rather than advantage)

How Lunar Phoenix GM creates a safe table
There will be consent checklist that players fill out in private to ensure everyone is comfortable during gaming. There is an X card system installed into foundry to ensure if something does come up that a player can notify the GM.
