About the adventure
Explore the Fae Wilds in a new player friendly game! The party will suddenly wake up in the realm of Faeries and they will have to figure out how to get back to their original realm. This campaign will be heavy on player choices as they navigate this new and strange environment that's trying to trick them with every step. On top of that, there's a war brewing between the Seelie and Unseelie courts. Will you do nothing, or will you assist the faction you're in alignment with? Will you survive? As I am a new GM, this campaign will be very much like a "intro to D&D" game, but even experienced players can join in as there will be an increase in difficulty as the campaign goes on. As long as you have the patience to help me learn to GM and help other players, you'll be a good fit! The campaign itself will feature original monsters, puzzles, and the Fae will try very hard to trick players. There will be plenty of NPCs that are important figures in the story. I'm open to atypical solutions! I love it when the players create chaos as I believe it makes for a fun experience. Ultimately, I want this campaign to be more fun than challenging. I will plan out some encounters that move the plot along, but everything else will be adapted on the spot based on player choices. The campaign will run through September or October 2025.

About me
I'm new to GMing but I've been playing DND for over 10 years. I want to try my hand at being the GM because I'm creative and love creating stories. I'm very new player friendly!

Creating your character
Players must build their character before session starts. Stats will be decided by rolling 4 d6s and removing the lowest number. Starting level is 2.. We will be using a blend of the 2014 rules and the 2024 rules, depending on what you prefer. Characters will be created on a downloadable PDF character sheet. Players can use any official D&D book or even homebrew a character as long as it is discussed with me, the GM. This is the species list that I use when creating a character: http://dndroll.wikidot.com/races
Everyone is welcome to join! I respond fast so you won't be waiting a long time to receive a message from me with the discord link. I already have 3 players in the discord, so we really only need 1-2 more people to get started! :)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need discord (I will be using a bot called Avrae in Discord for dice rolls) and a microphone. Players can choose whether they want video during session 0. We will discuss Avrae and test out the bot during session 0. If alternatives are suggested, I will gladly accommodate players.
What Saeuna brings to the table
I follow the Rule of Cool and may tweak game rules in order to make the game more fun and better fit the setting. I will use background music if the players don't mind it.
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion is a bonus action.

How Saeuna creates a safe table
In Session 0, I will have everyone introduce themselves (including me, the GM) and I will ask how you want to use the X, N, and O's system. I will lay the ground rules for the campaign (no homophobia, trans antagonism, etc.) I will also be asking about any potential triggers that I should be aware of (like if say, arachnophobia can be triggered by an image.) I do plan on doing aftercare for more intense scenes to ease y'all back into reality and to discuss what you liked, what you didn't like, etc. so I can attune future sessions to your wants and needs. I will also implement an open door policy where you can leave the session at any time for any reason. I understand real life events can happen or maybe you're not in the right mood to play. While I don't plan for any triggering content, I will understand if you need to dip out of a scene and I will adjust the campaign as necessary so that y'all always feel safe. As for breaks, I will take a 10-15 minute break after each hour we are playing (unless y'all choose to skip a break because we're in the middle of a scene.)
