About the adventure
Free zero-session! This game is for people looking to explore the Born From Ice playtest materials, as seen on Kickstarter. Ever had an interest in roleplaying as part of a clan of Paleolithic hunter-gatherers? Do you enjoy superstition and the unknown? The bones of the system are D&D5e, but the bulk of the rules for character generation will be from the Born from Ice playtest materials. We will make characters at session zero and collaborate on creating some of the details of the tribe and it's history. Characters will be 1st level, using the Born from Ice Player's Guide and a 33 point-buy system to generate ability scores.

About me
I haven't been running games for as long as many GMs on the platform, but I enjoy it very much and have always had fun tables. I like things by-the-book, but am very open to homebrew content. I am MtF trans-nonbinary (very early days) and my table is LGBTQ+ friendly. I use Roll20 and Discord to run my games, and trust my players to roll their own real dice if they prefer.

Creating your character
Players will need the Playtest materials for Born from Ice to make their characters. these materials are freely available. We will be using a 32-point buy for generating ability scores. If that sounds intimidating, I can help walk you through it during session 0 Starting level for this adventure is 5th. there is no multiclassing. all equipment not marked as "rare" or "very rare" is freely available for your character. we will be using basic encumbrance rules of 15 times your strength score.

a working microphone is required to play, and a functioning webcam is prefered but not required. You will need a free Roll20 account which can be had at https://roll20.net/welcome A functioning understanding of D&D5e is useful but not mandatory - new gamers welcome, I'll walk you through the hard bits. Playtest materials can be found on the Discord
