About the adventure

I want you to imagine a generic fantasy world. we pass a generic blacksmith who waves with a generic hand. we see a generic wagon roll by with some generic goods in the back. we see a generic goblin, sneaking to steal from a generic food stall. Thats when we spot you, a generic adventurer. Your quest is to travel to a farm to protect Bessy. Why, you ask? Who is bessy, you ask? Who's farm is this, you ponder? I don't know, man. i just work here. Oh? You want to know about character creation? Well.. you work at a generic adventuring guild, where a generic wizard hands out generic quests to generic adventurers in the town of Generia. Thats about it. its a generic quest. Great for beginners, and a few tricks for the veterans.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

just think up a character and we can quickly make it at the start of the session!

What Adam brings to the table

game will be played on FoundryVTT, and voice chat over discord. i have access to all of the books to create characters quickly and easily during session 0. custom token art, made by me, either using midjourny or heroforge i love rules and know them well, but i also encourage creative solutions and shenanigans, even if its outside of rules i am a down to earth person, and im willing to meet you where you are at, i run a fun and challenging game. i can improvise and 'yes, and' very well, roleplay and rules are my two favorite parts of the game, and i love doing voices and being 'extra' with things. i will name all the enemies in a combat and give them all a bit of personality, so even during combat, there will be some life and flavor! more expectations will be set during session 0 (which will be very quick at the start of the one-shot) if you are curious about how i run a game, there are many VODs on twitch: TalkingWithAdam - where i run a game every week that is recorded and saved. just a friends game, so is more colorful than this game would be, but if you are interested in seeing how i DM, check that out!

Homebrew rules

Homebrew rules (subject to change as per game and group) These will also be gone over during session 0 Bonus action healing potion. just a simple one you can talk in wildshape. its fantasy, being wildshaped or polymorphed shouldnt take u out of RP for hours, so its up to the player how much or little they can talk Planning/meta gaming - in combat and whatnaut, ur allowed to talk and plan. just dont meta game. u can plan 'above table' but again, if ur character wouldnt know something, they wouldnt know. but as players, u can all make suggestions and discuss best course of action. ur characters are trained heros who know how to fight and use tactics, you are not, so take some time and discuss with ur party members how to take on challenges! switching weapons is part of the attack. u got 3 attacks, u got 3 weapons, u can use a different weapon for each attack. you cannot switch ur shield tho. like you cant attack with a 2 handed weapon, then switch to ur shield. but if you wanna greataxe, greatsword, then longbow, thats cool player conflict - i dont intervene in player conflict. you want to steal ur buddies item? your buddy gets to decide the DC, what you roll, or if you even get to roll. you resolve conflicts yourself. we're all adults, and if you want to fight or mess with eachother, you simply ask 'hey player, can i try to steal ur item?' and they decide the outcome Spells, arrows, everything, can be nonlethal. if you want to fireball a bunch of goblins, but just to scare them or incap them, thats fine. i dont see a reason in not allowing players to do nonlethal dmg guidance is a reaction, same with bardic. if you see ur buddy fail a roll, u can chuck a bardic or guidance. as long as ur character would know an attempt is being made
